hey the thing that sticks up outta your tummy is just your linea alba (ligamentous tissue) underneath your skin layers. It is more prominent in some people than others so its normal and i dont think its anything to worry about. My father is a MD and i just learnt this last semester at Chiro College
Hey I just wanted to add that my stomach also sticks out in the center and its nothing to worry about. I got this with my first pregnancy and thought it was very weird but it was nothing to worry about. I am now 14 weeks pregnant with my second child and my stomach still sticks out but everything is perfectly fine. I hope 2 opinions help make you feel even more at ease :) and congratulations.
Thanks, coz even the midwife at the hospital wanted to get the doctors opinion of my belly thing. Can I ask, did it have much affect on your stomach/stomach muscles after the baby was born?
Hey cute belly..... it will be better if you eat 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones it helped me a lot. With your stomach doing that weird thing don't worry about it mine does the same (im 39 weeks) maybe ill do a video and show you it looks funnier when your belly grows. but the doctor said that once your belly starts growing bigger not to do that because you are messing up your abs. take care.... and ill make a video now for you to see
YES!!! I can't believe you have the same thing,my doctor told me not to worry but so many people say different things about it, I would LOVE to see yours and know that I am not the only one.
!!! Smurfs shirt! lol. Hmm ask your doctor about it. My gut feeling (no pun intended) says it's probably nothing, but maybe your should ask ur doctor, just to keep ur mind at rest. Good to hear from u again :)
Wow, at 15 weeks, you can still see a hint of your 6-pack abs!

sHoRtCaKeo0o 3 years ago
I dunno, should I? I don't normally suck it in, I usually let it all hang out but I just do that for the video.
TheGraceDiaries 3 years ago
it just dont look right, i never did anything like that wen i was pregnant... was too scared i would squish the baby lol
sHoRtCaKeo0o 3 years ago
wow. you can't squish a baby by sucking in your stomach, genius.

thats what I think too, as if you could hurt the baby just by sucking in your belly.
