  • ibiza cupra tdi the good car for a mountain road..the monster

  • How much Whp does your cupra has..

Did he also shift at 5000rpm? xD

  • in the civic dont have turbo

  • solo para linea recta por que en curva cupra TDI REAL MIERDA!!!

  • Why you race a diesel?

  • nice video

  • diesel for tractors not for cars

  • @X16SZR oh yeah? How about this? watch?v=pCj7yBld3cM You´ve got no idea about cars.

  • it would have been strange the opposite...

it's normal that a 1.9 TDI with remap runs a little more than a stock K20.

If you find a k20 with the right mods, well, good luck...

And what seems strange is also that a remapped diesel with high torque at low RPM couldn't smoke that civic since start... a stock civic under 4000 rpm is almost dead, I own one...

  • remap gets more than 340nm idiot it has 330nm standard. It has 330nm at 1900rpm and "160" bhp from 3750rpm

  • OHHH!! It was the new Type R!! That explains it, i could run faster than that!!!

  • diesel power ahahhahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • tdi has got to be remapped. so about 215hp 340nm torque vs 201bhp with fuck all torque. i think type r did well to hang in there.

  • ep3 would beat that cupra. cupra was left handdrive anyway. Most tdi hatches are fast of the line on drag strip try rolling start, If cupra was chiped that cupra must be one fucking slow car as standard

  • really, the cupra Tdi is a great car and can be hussled round the ring in under 9 minutes and still return 40mpg.

  • @Andrew120785 You don't know what you're talking about.

  • @Andrew120785

It's the other way round...diesel 0-60 times are shit. But in gear you need some decent petrol BHP to keep with one.

  • @Andrew120785 You seem to have not managed to understand and the left hand drive comment...eh, okay! TDi's are poor off the line but are better in gear. They are quick as standard but respond well to light mods. Glad I bought one and not a Civic! Double the torque in the diesel compared to the R = bye bye!

  • stock ibiza cupra turbo diesel or mod?

    civic haven't problem ?

is civic a real type r?

  • Turbo diesel remap

civic have no problem...the car have a other excaust and it is a real type r from a friend.

    mfg

  • @Konxville83

What was your 1/4mile time ?

  • @Konxville83 what power remap have you got?

  • @Konxville83 civic is stock? cupra only remap?

  • tdi power !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ha civic sport are crap yeah the type r is good but the cupra has got way more torque so eat smoke petrol heads diesels are here to stay!!!!

  • That cupra would've beat that fat civic. The older shape maybe not, but that shape easy.

  • its a cupra tdi, 160hp and 330nm standard from 1900rpm, its got to be chipped so i reckon its got at least 210hp, its gonna be lighter too.

  • doesnt have 160hp from 1,900rpm! LOL.

Also a remap on one of these, a generic one will be lucky to hit 190bhp on most RR's.

Why not just ask the OP the 1/4 time of that run, a remapped Cupra should be hitting high 14's with ease, new or old shape type r's will struggle hitting low 15's standard

  • a ese ritmo destroza todo el coche cambia fatal que lastima de cupra :)

  • cambia de marchas super mal

  • omg..this guy doesn't know how to drive the type-R....this TDI is chiped...1000%

    drive against b16b...civic...850kg/185hp...0-150~10secs!!!

  • Comment removed

  • petrols are way 2 weak

  • heavily modified ya muppet, all it needs is a chip, and for a start standin 0-60 is 7.5 secs standard so they no tslow anyway

  • CUPRA for life

dont make an exuse for that shit Type r

    it was a fair race

  • @frleonfr Give the civic 2 turns and the live rear axle ibiza would get smoked to the past week

  • @weed46 Civic FN2 and Ibiza cupra tdi both have rear beam suspension, EP3 has the independent rear suspension. Doesnt really help though, remapped cupra tdi is more than a match for stock type r. CH__j6NrCZE

  • @tn21beer I know, but if you fit a turbo on the civic like the ibiza has, that would be another chalenge

  • @weed46 not saying type r is a bad car, The EK9 and EP3 are excellent, FN2 is a bit fat for 200bhp nasp. BHP for BHP the Cupra tdi is faster. Of course a 300bhp supercharged civic is going to be faster than stage 1 Cupra tdi... of course a 300bhp stage 3 cupra tdi would make for an interesting race. Standard vs standard the Civic is loads faster... but stage 1 cupra vs stock Civic FN2, the Cupra tdi is too much for the Honda.

  • @tn21beer I understand, and I agree with you. FN2 civic is just a cost cutting civic, softer typr-R, wich is a shame... Another shame that the JDM FN2 civic didn't get out of japan since is the fastest civic out there, even faster than integras...

About the Ibiza, i still would go with the petrol cupra, not only is faster in srtaight line, better engine response, but the engine also sounds sweeter, and because the petrol engine is much lighter, the handling is better too, with lighter front end

  • @weed46 My mate has a tuned 250bhp FD2 import civic. Very impressive car. Was touch choice between petrol and diesel Ibiza cupra, but my diesel easily gets 50mpg, has cruise control and is low tax. Cupra tdi stage 1 is a fairly quick car with cheap running costs. But can also give these petrol hot hatches a good chase.

  • @tn21beer I'm a petrol head, so I would trade a bit higher running costs, for a bit more pleasure... starting a 4 banger diesel in the morning is painfull enought... If i'm in a tight budget make a LPG conversion and you save even more than in a diesel

  • @weed46 What do you run?

  • @tn21beer I used to run a beaten up AE86 that was from my parents, but it was stolen a year ago... It was stock, so wasn't that atractive, but it was fun, despite the old stock suspension and wheels... I miss it...

Right now, i'm running in my mother's yaris, but i'm looking foward to by a BMW e36 M3 or a 350z until this year christamas... They get very reasonable fuel economy.

In spain, they are in a good price, you can get a Z with mid/low mileage from 12k€ and the M3 starting at 8k€

  • @weed46 Both good cars, expensive to run, my mate has a 350z, costs over £120 to fill the tank with Vpower and that gets him 340 miles driven slowly. BMW 330d coupe would be my pick for RWD beast.

  • @tn21beer 330d is fron't heavy, and a bit on the slow side... drive one first.

You'r friends 350z's should't be in good shape... If you drive it like you drive a diesel, under 2500-300rpm, you ca easly get under over 30mpg... just drive it like a nissan micra, not like a 350z and it will get nice MPG... But that's true, you have to fill up with premium gas :s

  • @weed46 You will struggle like hell to get 30mpg, even driven very slowly. Why i like my Cupra tdi is that i can drive it like a madman all day long and still get 40mpg, even on track i get 20-25 mpg.

  • @tn21beer Trust-me you can, and if you hipermile it you can see over way over 40mpg. Of course you go way over 70 in the motorway you will strugle to get over 30, but on B.roads is easy as long as you don't use the brake. I've a lot of mile on a Z (VQ35DE), and we even did the math's to see if the OBC was reading the right numbers... Remember, is a V6, and it can go uphill at 900rpm with ease without vibrations like in a 4 cilinder... of course, as long as you step on the gas mpg drops as hell

  • @weed46 Only way your gonna get 40mpg from a 350z is driving downhill. Its a heavy ass car, driven normally you will be lucky to get 25.

  • @tn21beer Wheight only afects MPG when you make acelerations... on a linear speed, the weight is almos irrelevant. As long as you use all the momentum of the car movig (in other word, not using the brakes), you can achieve huge improovments on fuel consumption... of course, doing 40+ mpg is hypermiling, wich of course isn't real world mpg... if you run on trafic, or a lot of lights of course is impossible, but in a strech of empty road, you can achieve 40+mpg i can garantee you

  • that tdi must be heavily modified coz a type r should smoke the tdi, even a civic sport would beat the tdi on a factory standard level.

  • The contributor has a clip on his TDI -it looks like it has about 200 bhp at the wheels(I assume) and 385Nm!

  • No it wouldnt! haha
