This song was originally released by Littlefield as K. C. Loving in 1952 also on Federal. This single was released on Federal 12351 in 1959. Little Willie was the original Kansas City, before Wilbert Harrison did it.
I don't know (and I'm not very interested on it, to say the truth) the Beatles' cover. So Little Willie is the original author of the same "Kansas City" which Muddy and his pianist Pinetop Perkins used to do often in the late 70's?
Little Willie Wrote This Song And recorded on Federal in 1952 It was Called K.C.Loving. Leiber And Stoler got it and left out one verse and Called it Kansas City.

This is not a cover (I think that you speak about The Beatles version). "Kansas City"' was first recorded by Little Willie Littlefield in 1952
