i dont think you people quite see the point to this advert, yes the girl is a healthy size but it's not trying to say that that is a bad weight. you kinda have to understand that the girl portrayed here has anorexia so she has an eating disorder that is characterized with a fear of gaining weight, so she is looking at the mirror looking picking at things she is seeing as 'fat' where in reality is unhealthily thin. it's not an attack on this size, it's to bring awareness that is much needed.

Not sure why the girl that is the reflection is there as a "negative". She is gorgeous & obviously healthy...this sends the totally wrong message out. The girl in the mirror is what a teenage girl SHOULD look like. Nothing about her is fat or ugly. Nothing.

Im smaller than the girl in the mirror, but still definitely chubby. I wish i was any other race than asian, because most asian girls are so tiny and petite, while other races have more curvy girls. Im a misfit in my own culture.

My health teacher was teaching about anorexia and bulimia

He try to show us this video,but it took to long to load in his computer at home.

So we couldn't see it but he had explained it to us how it looked like.

Just thought I'd see it again.

But he did show us the story of this 14 year old girl called Elle.

that is exactly what a person with an eating disorder sees. I have struggled with bulimia/anorexia for many years and moments like the one shown are the ones that bring on panic attacks and either a binge, another purge, or less daily food.

And the sad truth is...Alot of these Girls are TOLD their fat etc...When their super skinny as it is, so they end up like the Girl outside of the Mirror in the end :( I hate how people plague other peoples minds like that...It's so sad...And one would think "Oh just block it out...Ignore it..." no...Doesn't work that way forever...Eventually those thoughts get through. I can never understand why people rave about this advert. I suffered anorexia for nearly 30 years and never once did I have such distorted ideas about my size and shape. In fact, I could see I was very thin. I know of many anorexics who are well aware of their thinness but remain anorexic because the behaviours make them feel in control of their lives. In my opinion anorexia is about control; not vanity or a desire to look good, or even to be very thin.
