Thanks a lot for the response! I should have mine in two days! I can't wait. I think I'll hit it with my Pigtronix Class A boost and see how gained up it can get with a simple boost. Maybe I do actually need something like that Rock Box. I have heard so many good things and so many good demos of the Rock Box. Do you have the boiling point or the baby blue?
Not as much than Uberschall or XTC but enough to do classic rock, hard rock,... But not really metal or modern rock! It's voiced more vintage!
You need to push it with a boost pedal or overdrive! On this video i'm using some great OD pedals like rock box boiling point, BB preamp, Wampler XTC, Ep booster Xotic! Dont expect a lot of bass and a scooped sound with this amp! it really shines in clean/crunch styles but can sound gainy pushed of course ;)
How much gain are we working with here when its maxed? EVH levels at least? or higher? The gainy clips in your demo we awesome, but is that the most gain its got?
Hey thanks for answering my question! The XTC is an awesome amp, but out of my price range. I was considering the GF and the Shiva, but I like the wattage of the GF and the fact that it has High/Low and Half Power settings. Do you like the boost function or do you add OD pedals? The reverb on the GF sounds so lush!
It's the closed back cab! Yes its the same kind of sound than Fender clean+marshall crunch but with Bogner voice! Great amp for sure but prefer the XTC though
The XTC is a lot more versatile and modern than the Goldfinger which is better for clean or crunch sounds! The XTC sounds huge!! If you are playing modern music XTC 20th is hard to beat!
i try this amp in namm 2012 ..and is reallly amazing..rock 70 tones are out of this world..

Great tone! Are you using the matching open-back or closed back Goldfinger cab?
Would you say that the Goldfinger has a Fender Deluxe Reverb-type of clean and a Marshally type of drive channel?

sweet tone! been gassing bad for a Goldfinger! How you like it compared to the 20th XTC? I'm on the fence about which one to get.
