Some people did not understand at all, what pink floyd had done for the music,at all,it was an experiment of using sounds just like the element of film and paintry, modern arts and the feeling of doing something together, sharing all the interests and bringing them together in a huge masterwork, almost like using telepathy and brothership to make an enlightning journey, wich transforms theoretical ideas into a very new, unique experience for all listeners.Music must have new inputs to be alive !!!
Very welcome to have a listen to AirwavesJoxfields Vegetable (Elephant ) Man with Joxfields tribute-to-David-Gilmour's-ca-1971-playing guitar at 1.59. If you make a visit; hope you enjoy it! Cheers!
It's always cool to see an old german tv show, cause they don't know english at all... the place where they played there is the hamburg "musikhalle" or as it's called today "laeiszhalle". It's great to know the Pink Floyd ones stood on that stage.
The comments in the footage are ironic and very paternalising. I suspect that you would be quite annoyed by them. Btw, that tone of speaking/writing about rock music was very common until the mid 80's, or so.
Ein sensationelles Zeitdokument !

Well, at 53 I know I am a younger fan of PF so those old people are probably dead by now.
