@govindsingh3007 i only reply to msg i have answer too i been busy so not keep up with the laptop market. i think you need to buy a processor and put it in but u ll lose the warrenty there is no option of upgarding these and keep the warrenty same time. why do u wanna waste ur money on blueray drive???? i got one and never eeven used once

These laptops still cost around £900 here in the uk, I was going to get one but I decided to get an advent 7555GX instead as it was only £699 but has a 2ghz quadcore and 4gigs of ddr3, it has the same ATI 4850 chip as this one too but a lower screen res of only 1440x900.

Not a bad machine for the price tho, plays most games well maxxed out.

well cpu u can oc on 20% in bios and GPU use the auto recomend button and it will oc it to a safe point

no time limit you can use it as long as you want but it will raise the temp if you gaming in turbo mode

All the drivers on MSI's website for the GT725 are 64bit aswell so you are all set to switch to Vista 64bit..

Is the bleeding on this laptop that bad? I heard nearly all models of this specific laptop have bleeding. Is it noticable? its really annoying me since i hear this has a bleeding problem with good specs.

bleeding is on the Glossy 1680x1050 and not on the Matte 1920x1200 versions

I've been watching some of your videos on the GT725. Very informative, thanks. I'm thinking of getting one of these as they look pretty sweet. Can you tell me how much these laptops are upgradeable? All the laptops I've had so far weren't meant for gaming and really offer no means of upgradability. Also, how's it holding up now a few months later? Still good?

i dont think u can upgrade this laptop apart from cpu to a quad core.

well i m having a graphic problem now so i need to send this away to get it fix. but thats only bz i test the laptop to its limit and done things i should nt have lol

I've never installed a new OS myself, so I don't know of such things. If I installed 64bit Vista, will it erase everything on the HDD? If so, am I going to lose anything important? The 075 model is not being made anymore, its replaced with the 212 quad care model, or you can get the 074 model with the P8600 in it. I recommend either, great laptop for the price..

forget futuremark program, it's irrelevant. do actual games benches...crysis, farcry2, fear2, gtaiv, etc...

everything sounds good except for the 5400rpm harddrive. newegg currently sells this with a 320gb 7200rpm for $1600

stop worrying about the stupid color or the cloth. it's a gaming laptop. if you want cuteness, buy a mac.

I agree however, some 3rd party over clocking may void the warrenty in some cases so im not ready to take that risk, just yet.

I have cancelled the order for the 725 though and managed to aquire an advent 6555 so this wed coming up should be able to provide some info.

Ive just ordered mine for £1125 or so in the UK, i chose this over the Advent 6555 (Quad core msi remake) because of the higher clock freequence on the P9500's and there is still alot of multi core programming to be produced for gaming.

I don't think it is worth paying an extra £125.82 for the higher clock frequencies since the main aspect in gaming will always be the GPU.

A few games are more CPU intensive than others but that's about it. Also I bet there is a way to overclock it manually via 3rd party software or by changing the FSB.

Yeah definately, i will probably be going for a single 4850 i think, for what i do its enough, the benchmark results for two are incredible by the way hehe, and yeah Nvidia will have to counter and it HAS to be affordable or there is no point, Also i wonder if ATI is working on any more Crazy projects, because the 4800 series is fantastic.

Ahh thats very nice, and yeah it definately rivals some of the higher HD desktop cards from what i hear, for the price these days, ATI are putting up some nice tech, especially against NVIDIA.

Yeah, well even the single 4850 has plenty of powers to last for a dam long while to be honest, scored very nicely in benchmarking tests.

What about overclocking the GPU that you showed us, is that within the warrenty, i know alot of overclocking can void warrenties, or does the program only contain safeguards?

yes that one is via ATI driver so its fine and it will only over clock to gpu to 550 max and 900 clock speed.

but u can overclock it some other tool much higher.

some people say 4850 is a underclock 4870

Nice review man, i've been looking into this and the Advent 6555, the quad core is very nice, and for the price, also both have 4850 ATI, which is quite a powerfull card, Class one in laptop review which is nice, any idea if this can be hybrid sli', or whatever the name would be for ATI?

laptop gpu are not able to be xfire or sli-ed unless their casing specifically for xfire or sli . Some example of sli or xfire-able laptops are most alienware laps and some dell laps .

i have nt tested it fully but if u using battery saver option not playing games. about 1.5 hour to 2 hours.

if u using for games 1 30 min to 1 hour i would say but agian this is not 100% i will test a little bit more and i ll let u know

Thanks for the heads up on the tiny keys. Looks like MSI reused the same keyboard from their 15" laptops :( Have you noticed MSI never shows the bottom part of the keyboard when they put up pictures of this 17" laptop? No wonder hah!
