@jcoolvids Actually it doesn't matter how many drops you put in..but it does matter with the kind of water you use..You HAVE to use room temperature filtered water..which she didnt use and thats why this tutorial was pretty much a waste of time.

@IzzyLuvsYourMakeup It has to be room temp. So wait about half and hour for it to become room temp. And if that doesn't work, Make sure the nail polish is newly bought, and a good brand.

@iamkatherinenicole Sometimes the nail polish just doesn't work for water marble. But, it also depends on the height you drop you're nail polish from. Try to drop it as close as you can without touching the water.

So I tried to start with one nail polish that i knew worked, then I took the one that didn't work, and then it worked. :)

you can do three at a time just make sure they hit the water at the same time or else it moves the nail polish. it all just takes practice

@iamkatherinenicole If your nail polish sank it may either be really old or you just may be holding the brush up too high above the water. Try and get new polish and hold it close to the water if you haven't.

@iamkatherinenicole The nail polish should be new. Old nail polishes thicken with time. Another problem could be the temperature of the water. Try using room temperature water. Good luck. ^_^

@iamkatherinenicole Try it with distilled warm water. It has a lower densitiy then cold water so the polish can swim. And maybe do not use quick dry nail polish because it doesn't spread well. I used Stargazer nail polish and it worked really well. Good luck :)

Use cold water (put one or two small ice cubes in it). Works most of the time. And new nail polish won't hurt, but I did it with a 6 month old bottle - with room temperature water it makes blobs but it spreads in cold water.
