It was a great honor for me to vote for President Obama being that it was my first time being able to vote.;; I salute all the troops and all who serve in the armed forces for they give me not only a strong sense of security, but also a sense of patriotism. My hat is off to all.
I'll remember years from now that I was very proud to have voted for Obama and I believe he has done and will do great things for this country. Obama is a very knowledgeable man, people should take this into consideration regardless of the colour of his skin. He is the first black president in the history of the U.S and that alone is a positive outlook over the past 100 years, his positive attitude towards moving forward and putting the past behind us IS is the only way anyone in the world will get anything done, holding grudges and living in the past will get you nowhere and I can't wait to see what change this man brings to the U.S

Well, it's easier for me. I live in the netherlands and we have more than just 2 parties. And unlike the united states, we actually *do* have leftwing parties, so I actually have material for comparison. The reason I had my doubts about Obama was that we have a similar guy in the netherlands who turned out to be a really bad statesman (thankfully, he didn't make it to the prime minister spot entirely) and suffers from a misplaced sense of grandeur. Time will tell about Obama.
