Dulos, this isn't the 1st time I've tormented myself regarding the issue of religion & homosexuality. As much as I agree with U about the loving part, I see it more as a societal problem now. I somehow believe there are those who feel cursed, who try to change but can't. It hurts me just to think they could be sent to hell. I guess the same premise can be use by us. If we love them, we should try helping them, not just spiritually, but physically. I know of some homos who were able to change.

Personally, being straight, I have no need to worry that I or my children would be swayed in any direction, in regard to sexual preference. Staright guys will agree with me. Gays don't care that their partner will be tortured in the fiery pit for all of time. Or they would lead them to life eternal? Christians know in there heart to lead the lost the abundant next life. Aran, Ur words are not just empty, but filled with hate. So our false GOD? How about you're lack of respect for NATURE itself? We've a developed brain for a reason. Look at all the diseases that have already killed homosexuals. AIDS, for one. How ungrateful of U. Do U know how many of us religious ppl. have contributed to finding treatments, cures? If U don't believe doesn't mean it doesn't exist. 1st of all, because I don't think it was U who created life. BTW U don't seem that loving either.

I would like to think that mankind has a brain, but theists like you continually prove that this cannot be true. Look at Africa, an area where one in 4 people is infected with AIDS, and what do you do? Teach safe sex? Hand out condoms? NO! You preach abstinence! You wouldn't want them doing anything immoral now would you, far better to let them die a horrible death than for you to feel 'all icky'. If your belief is to be taken as proof of god, then my disbelief is to be taken as the contrary.

Africa cannot be compared to US! We're a developed country! & YES, abstinence is the only way to survive STD'S now days! U'r message doesn't make any sense to me, cause I never talked about Africa! nor did I use it as AIDS as premise. IT was a comment about how ungrateful & hateful U seem to be. U'r just in a defensive mode that U read one word & in U'r head U developed a whole story that was never told. Crazy! that's all, U're just either under the influence or ignorant or both!

You have touched upon the basis of my argument. If god is supposed to bring people together, if there is only one obviously true path. Then why doesn't religion do this? If you and yours are correct then religous folk should be uniting under a single banner, not fracturing apart into ever-smaller groups. What I feel is a great fear, for 90% of the people on earth are like you, beholden to the outdated and barbaric ways of their ancestors. With religion, there is very little hop for mankind.

I know there are religious ppl that don't agree with me & vs. So far what I think that they all seem to agreed in one thing, values & teachings of morals. That's all I can say. My argument isn't purely religious, it's also about family values, tradition, respect & that one works both ways. Outdated & barbaric? What's with that? Where did U get that from? Dulos, this isn't the 1st time I've tormented myself regarding the issue of religion & homosexuality. As much as I agree with U about the loving part, I see it more as a societal problem now. I somehow believe there are those who feel cursed, who try to change but can't. It hurts me just to think they could be sent to hell. I guess the same premise can be use by us. If we love them, we should try helping them, not just spiritually, but physically. I know of some homos who were able to change.

The thing is, it's cheaper to accept them than to help them. Besides, politically correctness is cheaper than dealing with the issue. I guess if we try the issue nationally about finding ways to help them out, because if we don't pretty soon I see a well divided U.S. They can't impose to us, we can't impose to them, therefore how about helping them out. They need to understand that they cannot change our marriage definition because we've spoken already or getting rid of our scouts organizations.
