This is what would really happen. Now just imagine that would happen to any light vehicles and infantry near it.

I have a question. If this is an explosion from 40k of explosives packed inside the tank; would that be the size of an explosion if all the tank's ammunition went up when hit with an AT missile? Or would the tank just burn? I must admit, you never see pictures or war footage of tanks that have been blown to pieces like the above one was. All the 'knocked out' tanks you see still look like tanks, but they have holes in them or pieces missing off of them.

Normally javelins don't do that sort of damage yeah. They punch a hole into the armor and explode inside.
If it were to create a fireball and all that heat then that'd just be lost energy that could've been put to use actually doing damage.

I'll bet that damn armour on the turret was strapped with explosives underneath among the actual T-72 itself. I mean I've seen T-55's hit by NATO air strike far more powerful then this handheld weapon and was not even close to the sort of destruction and here I'm watching a T-72 blown to smithering by one Javaline. I know its a damn good shoulder fire missile but this is over kill too hard to believe. Definitely rigged with explosives in my opinion - I could be wrong.

@ProFF77 tanks usually are filled with explosives. they are called munitions. they are made to shoot at other tanks. but you can kiss your ass goodbye if they get ignited. Also, at most military ranges they are shooting at stripped down vehicles, or vehicles that have been pounded by all sorts of shit already. This was a fresh tank, fully loaded for battle. This is what would really happen. Now just imagine that would happen to any light vehicles and infantry near it.

@ProFF77 Sure, but don't forget modern Russian tanks store their ammo and charge casings inside the tank. So if you penetrate the armor the tank will cook off very fast. I'm sure that was part of the test. The missile is probably engineered to penetrate then set off the ammunition inside. This test is not much unlike how T-72's were destroyed in Iraq.
