  • sounds like my stomach after a burrito

  • Is the battle for the death star going on under there?

  • Sounds like a fucking alien war.

  • sounds like star trek! <3 I luvs star trek!

  • i have already figured out that u can drive car over it... n would a nice shortcut to ur grave.

  • @bato0r1 It's good to feel that way about driving on the ice. You have to be careful and make sure it's safe. We have to drive over the ice to our house for about six months each winter. There's no ot her way to get there. In the summer we drive our boat.

  • fire the phasers!!!!

  • @Melensko Right on!

  • So what happens if the ice is not thick enough to drive on? You can't go home? Or are there alternative routes?

Sorry if I sound naive, but I live in Australia where we don't have anything like this. It's amazing!

  • @frankovich213 Hi Frankovich. I wait a little longer for the ice to get thicker. I'm already home and testing the ice out to our landing. If it isn't thick enough I just go back and wait. This year once we got out we drove to the landing by snowmachine and switched to the car there. We were on snowmachines about a week until it was thick enough for the car.

  • I like the BASS parts

  • The lines on the London Underground make a similar noise when there's a train approaching, strange [:

  • @HauntKettle Very interesting. Can you make a recording and post it?

  • @LarryTaylorJr Yeah sure, will try to get it soon :)

  • i was on a lake in michegan riding are quads and if u get off and listn its awsome and if u stomp u will here it in a few seconds.

  • Thanks for the comment. I hope some year to get longer recordings of that sound.

  • Oh god, if you have the time again, PLEASE make a longer video of the ice making that sound.

I love that sound, I always have, but now in the city I don't hear it anymore....

  • Love it! I heard the same sound when I was out by a lake today. Amazeing...

But don't try driving car over 7 inches of ice. Wait untit fifteen or something

  • Cool...some kind of Star Wars going on down there...lotsa Laser blasters going off....but no star destroyers bursting about......does not compute!!!

  • 7 inches ?? drive the car on it ?? the answer is no.

  • @ProfessorIgor 7 inches is enough for a hummer h2 dude... LOL

  • @ccalvinn27 you drive YOUR hummer on it then !! I wait for 12"

  • @ProfessorIgor its in wired magazine.... it says all the recomended depth's for vehicles on ice.... and how to be safe while driving on it...

  • @ccalvinn27 read your magazine, I am born and raised in Wisconsin... 7" is REALLY asking a lot of the ice, trust me. It's not like it's ice made in your freezer... there's freeze, thaw, freeze again, rain on top, snow on top, warm currents under the ice, etc...

  • Wow! I haven't heard this since I was a kid in Tennessee and my Dad was checking to see if the pond was thick enough to skate on! Neat vid!
