Coming back to this 1 month....still no good! This chick must've been knocking it with one of the boys with Zero 7 cause they took a big, big step back wtih letting this chick ruin which was one of their best songs. Sophie gets a big, big thumbs up, this chick go dress up as maid marion and sing it at Celtic thunder or Scarborough Faire!

this is strange for Zero 7 but the negative comments here are bit over-reactionary. She sings and plays beautifully and expertly. It's not Sophie but don't try to insist that it is. It's very different.

This versions ok and this chick sings good, but it difenately lacks the Sophie Barker soul and just an acoustic version is weak. Zero 7 is about soulful singers and trip-hop music. I'll give it a pass. A bit disappointing!

Yeah, I'm sorry, but have to agree with most people here. Waiting Line is a "SOUL" number and Sophie sings it with Soul. I dig folk/medieval music...don't get me wrong... but this song is all about Soul..in the sort of Motown tradition. I dig the effort and guts to try to do this # differently,,but it just doesn't rate in my book.

I went to see Zero 7 at Birmingham Town hall on this tour earlier this year, and this was easiest the worst tour they have done to date, I have never seen a crowd so bored and disinterested, and i have seen them a few times before with Sia Tina and Sophie. Zero 7 have lost the edge that made them such a great band to see live.They need to get the chill back, and really hope they do as i love the sound of their earlier albums.

@giant37 surely that's the point? they're trying to do something a little different, I thought the version she did in Norwich was really sweet. There was a couple in front of us who left after hearing it saying "that was the one song we came for and she f***ed it up." Bit harsh to be honest.
