@Whiplashx86 i saw everything but. but i did some googling and found it was becuase my file was NOT in the content folder. lol i am retarded thx anyway
I did everything you said but when I goto the main game.cs page there is no content explorer thingy on the right. Please help. Btw your tutorials are the best I've seen so far on XNA. Keep em up and tyvm.
@cptbooze I will be making a complete screen system this fall to go with the Tower Defense series. I will have a full tutorial on how to develop a screen system as well. Stay tuned!
@whitejeff420 You need to get the fbx exporter for XNA to use with Blender in order to get 3D models to work properly. I am not that experienced with this so I would look at the main xna website for help. I am not good with 3D modeling :(
all coding for XNA is the same, the only thing different is really the fact that you use a Gamepad for the 360 controls and the Keyboard and Mouse controls for PC
How would you use animated sprites though? For example I have all the snimated sprites for a platforming game (run, idle, jump etc.) and I wish to use them in the game. All of the animations were done in Flash 8, is there some way of exporting each sperately, whilst keeping the image quality? .gif gives very poor framerate and image quality.
i can't find the asset name in the properties tab

@oldtimegamelover Try Build - Rebuild, then debug.

mlamp, please stop slamming your head into your desk, you've lost too many brain cells as it is.
Thank you Whiplash for this amazing tutorial.

my asset name won't show up help plz
need2domyhomework 2 years ago
The asset name is basically the file name without the extension:
Player.png will have an asset name of Player.
The properties window can be found in the view menu.
