I admit you have talent but checkillo haves some part of the reason that song is not in the tunning you're using i know it sounds like it was in D but really it's the normal tunning, MetallicA used an effect (Untunning D)... but you're good, i have 6 months and i can play that song but i can't sing it...

man, try to tune your guitar one whole step down like metallica does, "D", no only the 6th string, that's the correct correct way to play it, over all is good
