  • Damn you sound good bro, I'd love to jam to some TOOL with you one of these days. Cheers

  • @illicitstill That would be so awesome. Maybe grab a guitar, an amp, and a hound and take a road trip :).

  • @JosephMCorbett no problem. You might like his new band Feersum Ennjin, Dan Carey plays drums with them

  • Im sure someone has already asked but i couldn't find it, what year is your guitar? is it one the newer weight relieved models? and your pick up, a jb? if so sh-4 or sh-6

  • @Frippster22 My guitar is an '09...wish it was vintage, but it's not. Still like it though. Pickup is the JB SH-4. There's a full gear list on my channel.

  • My cousin was the bassist when they wrote this song, awesome job bro!

  • @36POINTBLANK Really? Wow. Thanks! Love this song...

  • this makes me want to make a cover video of this song...not that i can do it better, just that seeing someone else cover it this good makes me realize i got it down...nice job man

by the way your guitar, in the words of sir eric cartman, is "totally tits"

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 Thanks for the compliments :). Once you start putting covers up, you'll discover there's a difference between what you play for yourself and what you play for the camera...you adjust your playing so that it comes across while recording, you get nervous, etc., etc. In other words there's another dimension that has to be learned...and over time, you get better at that too, or at least try to :).

  • @JosephMCorbett oh i know..trust me i respect the craft...i just believe i got the song down after watching you nail it

by the way, you are extremely nice for a guy that looks like he'd fuck my shit up for looking at him wrong, lol

i know, i know...don't judge people by how they look..just saying, you look like a mean m'fer lol

but again...extremely nice guy that would be fun to have a beer with

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 Oh, I hear ya. Thanks again. Lol, that's funny. Ya, I'm like one of those animals that avoids fights by puffing up, posturing, and acting scary, lol. The best defense is a strong offense :). All kidding aside, I think it just turned out that way...not much hair on my head so you work with the facial hair, etc. Cheers.

  • @JosephMCorbett is aenima your favorite tool album just curious mine is lateralus

  • @TheMinerva14 That's a tough one. Probably. It's too tough to pick just one, because there are songs on each album that I just love. It's tough to put down The Patient, Parabola, Lateralus, and Reflection (my favs from that album) in order to pick Aenima as my favorite Tool album. It's really a numbers game...I've got 6 favorite songs on Aenima.

  • @JosephMCorbett wat tuning is this in? ,btw i love this cover and your guitar!! :)

  • @JosephMCorbett Soo true. I can never play well on camera. At least the first 30 attempts.

  • sweet! nice cover!

I really liked that "thing" you'r wearing (I don't know if it's a shirt or a coat) with Dime's picture!

  • @gm6s Thanks. That's a hoodie...sweatshirt :). Love hoodies...got a few of them.

  • are you using any distortion pedals? if not, what amp do you have?

  • @pancakesNwafflezVids No, I'm not using any distortion pedals...just the amp with gain about 3/4. When I recorded this song, I was just using my Marshall MG head and 2 MG 4X12's. Pedals used were....volume, MXR micro amp boost (which is not distortion), flange, delay, and wah for the "solo". You can see a whole "current" gear list on my channel.

    J

  • @JosephMCorbett would you recommend the proper EQ for this song. i got a Marshall JMC800

  • @pancakesNwafflezVids With that amp, you probably can't get decent distortion without an attenuator at bedroom levels. I would look into that before I used a distortion pedal. As for EQ, I forgot to mention that I also use a DOD FX40B set like the pics of Adam's that are floating around the web. As for the EQ on your amp, a lot is going to depend on your other gear, setting, and how/where you pick. But I'd start off with bass at 1/4, treble at 1/2-3/4, and mids on full. Hope this helps.

    J

  • @JosephMCorbett thank yuo it did help alot

  • @pancakesNwafflezVids That's awesome. Glad I could help :).

    J
