For this and this price I could get a Toyota Aygo, Nissan Pixo, Suzuki Alto, etc., or even a bigger car, with more quality and more reliable than a Hyundai. I can't imagine who is able to buy this car.
i´m getting my own in 2 more days, compared to a Kia Morning it's softer to drive, has better suspention system and better terminations, rounded forms, etc. The only thing i missed in the i10 (at least here in Chile) is the airbag. It doesn't have even one for the driver.
i drive the automatic 1.1L version :) Automatic consumes more gas. So far my i10 uses 12-14km/L. It was only during its first 500km Check Up that it drank gas like water at about 6-8km/L.
By the way, for this month of April, 2009, the 1.1 A/T i10 model has a promo here in the Philippines: just Php 18,000 downpayment and for 24 mos. the downpayment is Php 27,532 and for 36 mos. the downpayment is Php 19, 534. The Php 18k down is easy on the pocket but when you come round to paying the DPs, it gets really expensive for a supposedly "economical" sub-compact car.
yes i test drive it today---and it is really nice....this will be my second car ......i become the car this or next week ^^ *happy and the 1.2 l Engine with 79HP is more as engouh 4 this small car...^^
Seems better made and equipped than the Citroen C1/Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107 triplet which "boasted" flimsy plastics and a very small fish-bowl trunk space.
Citroen, Toyota and Peugeot will have to lower the price for their excuse of a super-mini, or suffer low sales as the i10 catches on..
I think Hyundai are on to a winner with this. The combination of low purchase price, high equipment levels and low emissions will guarantee sales success.
What is better a hyundai i10 (1.2 engine), Cherry QQ or a Chevrolet spark (with 1.0 engine)? Spark is a bit expensive than i10 in Philippines (Php 505k) while i10 is about Php 478k though.
Finally they did it! Verry beautiful Car! I drive a Hyundai Atos(K-Car) for 8 years now and that without any big problems. My next car will be a Hyundai i10, that´s for sure!
please for the love of all that is sane stop marketing every fucking last thing with an "i" at the front of it name. Be at least a little creative.
It's getting beyond a joke.

Hyundai i10 1.2 A/T i really great. I'm driving one now. Superb handling and power and great fuel economy for its size.

yeah i agree with you but i think the manual version is more safer than the automatic version...so for now, i drive Hyundai i10 M/T

This is an awesome first car! I've used it for 6,800km and its worth every penny in comfort, road handling and fuel consumption

Is your i10 an automatic or manual transmission? Is it true that if its an automatic the car eats up more gas even if its a 1.0 or1.1 engine?

Is there any way to reduce the gas guzzler problem with the automatic? Am also eyeing to get an i10 automatic. :)

Here in the Philippines, a local car mag rated the newcomer Hyundai i10 as the top of it's super mini class.

I don't really know which is better because I've never driven a Spark.
When I was on the hunt for a mini, I kinda had to decide over the i10, Picanto, Spark, and Alto.
I suggest you test drive both to make a better decision.
