ok i have a question for everybody, i have a dell core i7 quad core, 4Gb 1333Hz ram and ATI Radeon 4670 1GB and windows 7 64 bit and to be honest gta iv lags on low graphics, everything is low and once every 10 sec it slows down and it's not smooth, i have 1010 MB resource and using only 220MB and it's real slow, i have installed the latest patch, have disabled the windows event log and all other shit, but it runs it slow, while gta selects all the high settings on normal and get 10 fps!!!!!!!!

@sepehrseb Odd, but be warned, GTA IV and ATI don't agree. Even with my 5870m I'm still getting stutter and other crap. Still your performance seems pretty awful for low settings. Try reinstalling video drivers.

@MrMachacker Hmm, I don't have a fix. By the way I have a mobile 5870 which has 5770 architecture. Anyway, how far through the game have you got? The first part of the game where you drive to Romans is really stuttery, but then it gets a bit better. Changing filtering to trilinear really helped my stutter. I find stutter occurs at higher FPS, so keep your settings high and have your FPS between 20 and 30. Either way, stutter seems worse at night.

@MrMachacker GTA and ATI are bad mix, you should see if you have the water bug (I have it) it makes the water slowly turn to awful quality. Changing the settings to low and then back fixes it for about 30 seconds. It's really annoying.

@gfreeman888 Well, the 320M is better than the 9400M, so it'll be smoother... Don't expect high settings, because this game is a CPU and graphic Hog... Maybe you can play it MAX resolution and LOW effects but don't even bother to try it on high settings

its called Bootcamp... apple incudes it with every copy of OSX fin it in ur "Utilities Folder"

it lets u run windows by dual booting it...(devide the hard drive)

what patch do u have? if u have the graphic option " Shadow Quality" then turn it it off. u still get little shadows but it is much smother and no grainy shadows! :D

Actually I bought the game and when I played for the first time it told me that there as an aerlier version, so I downloaded it, I have way more stuff in the "graphisms" tab than you. Oh by th way I can't understand why I do not success making it smooth, I put all the setting at the lowest and it still lags like hell after a little while.... Do your mac does the same thing? I think it's because it's getting to warm .....

yes! it does the exact same! thats why i didn't want to show that in this video...in happens after about 3 mins od game play and it stays like that for about 5-7 mins! my solution : minimise gta iv and play another game or something while it is minimised, after about 10 mins, return to gta iv and it wont lag at all then! by the way, are u using win xp or vista or 7 because on xp you get an average fps rate of 30!
