There was a really trippy game that was alot like this released on the ps2/xbox years ago. Anyone remember the name? It played very similarly and had a weird name.
For a game that is based on your decisions, I'm surprised it has low replay value. I would of thought u would be able play it over and over because u can rake a different route every time.
@JP8940 the issue with that would be that there is a central connection. without the origami killer or any central focus, the story won't have a gripping story to tell without boring you with the events leading to the different routes. it's also time consuming to construct multiple routes as well as figuring out a way to seamless implement them.

In that sense in order to replay the game you have to make choices other than what you would do. I'm a good guy and my brother is narcissistic. I replayed the game and made choices he would make and the game was so disturbing I stopped playing it lol

@septimus005 try Cause of death on iphone. It's not as engrossing or emotionally gripping as Heavy rain, and mostly just involves reading as there is no voice acting, but the storyline is still pretty good and your outcome still differs.

I mean there were no saving the world/princess/universe bullcrap we get everytime(that already gives it a better story than 95 percent of the games). loved this game. it was something new. a interactive movie video game. controlling the characters movements was great. i was trying to get all the endings for this game. but for some reason i couldnt get all of them. so i gave up. wish they made some new games similar to this style. and yes alot of people i know dont like this game. but they more into simple games (army shooters and sports games) but fuckem. Guys i think you are exaggerating.. Yes heavy rain is a really good game.. It's deffinitelly the most engaging game out there.. But it does has flows that come from the nature of the game itself. In the end(on my game) he got his kid back, didnt die, maddy is still alive, the oragami killer is still running loose and that FBI person is dead all cause i messed up 2 actions D: i was so drawn into the game, when he died, i was like SHIT!
@morganrd5 i personally think so. Heavy rain is a game long story line and la nior is a bunch of mini cases. So depending on what you're into. Like a movie or tv show. Both equally good though

Once I played this game I couldnt stop, even thought it has gameplay flaws the brilliant story and bond with the characters overshadow it, I could seriously say this was one of the greatest and thought proviking games I have played, but it takes a certain taste to actually like it.

Hey Gamespot use your brains. The reason Ethan has blackouts isn't explained, because it doesn't have to be. It's to leave you, the gamer, guessing whether it's Ethan who is the oragami killer or not, it leaves Ethan also thinking he might be! He blacks out, and ends up at the same random spot in the rain...but that doesn't need explaining, the sole purpose of the blackouts is to leave you guessing who the killer is.

Once I played this game I couldnt stop, even thought it has gameplay flaws the brilliant story and bond with the characters overshadow it, I could seriously say this was one of the greatest and thought proviking games I have played, but it takes a certain taste to actually like it.

What exactly are you doing here, trolling people watching games that you don’t like? There’s not much point in doing that if you’re going to act like a child, trying to start piss fights with other games who happen to enjoy Heavy Rain. @apdragon321 oh really?so the game is giving you the choice from the beggining to save the kid and thats what he does?you are forgetting the whole plot in the middle,and EVERYWHERE you go you have some kind of a choice,the game is not like la noire,where you can beat the game even if you dont know who did what,who,why,where,when etc...and if it was that easy as you say,then turn up the difficulty...

Heavy Rain is one of the best games i ever play !! the story the characters and the Awesome gameplay makes this game a real masterpiece i really loved it and u cant put the the joystick until u finish it .. i also get platuinm in this game ..

seriously though assasins creed brotherhood is class, i played abit of the first 1st one and thought it was boring and got put off the whole series, but then i just gave the last one a chance because i heard good things about it.... trust me its one of those epic PS3 games

Hey Gamespot use your brains. The reason Ethan has blackouts isn't explained, because it doesn't have to be. It's to leave you, the gamer, guessing whether it's Ethan who is the oragami killer or not, it leaves Ethan also thinking he might be! He blacks out, and ends up at the same random spot in the rain...but that doesn't need explaining, the sole purpose of the blackouts is to leave you guessing who the killer is.
