  • WHAT THE FUCK? AWB was on Soul Train? In a word: WOW! That's impressive. Nice tune, bythe way.

  • Oh yeah, this is the rare footage of the Soul Train performances. There are only a few played real live in the show, Mostly lip sync but AWB and Tower Of Power are the bands played real live. Jody Watly is in there on the floor with her boy friend alter formed the vocal group named Shalamar.

  • The word "Average" does NOT describe this band. They are awesome...

  • steve ferrone was real good . but i thought their first drummer the late robbie mcintosh was a litte tighter.

  • i remember seeing these guys in concert on my birthday back in the day. ticket price was 6 dollars. might have been the best concert i ever seen.

  • Steve Ferrone for the FTW!!

Now I know where I got my drum style from.

  • Not bad, for white guys.

  • THE SOULLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TRAIN.....

  • All time best love this band from the first time I heard them

  • The only caucasions that could play funk.

  • @barefootpoet24 - well, almost. Don't forget about Toto. They could crank out the R&B --REALLY-- good; and a touch of funk every now and then.

  • groovy

  • One of the greatest live concert bands of the 70's. No matter how much coke or smack they did, they put on one hell of a show.

  • Great Stuff....one of my all time favorite bands

  • There are so many bands and singers appeared on the Soul

Train but there were few played real live. AWB was one of

them. Also Tower of Power. Does anyone have that clip ?

  • The TOP video is on here...

  • alan gorrie is soooo funky....and what a voice

  • play it "white boys!"

  • Jesus did Paul McCartney know a good thing when he put Hamish Steart on his gig. This guy's got a feel the way Bootsy's got a feel. Awesome!

  • It's funny you mention Mc cartney.. I've always felt that Hamish Stuart & Alan Gorrie were the "Lennon & Mc Cartney" of funk, because they wrote, played and sang there asses off on all their stuff. That in of itself is VERY Lennon / McCartney like.

  • Man, I saw this as a kid. I still listen to AWB.

  • Cut the Cake and a cool reel. Pres ait!

  • WTF?? That guy plays that sick rhythm guitar track AND sings the song? And this is live to boot. These guys are amazing!
