It's surgical lubricant. For some piercings (navel, nose, and other cartiledge) it sometimes helps to put water-based lube on the needle so it goes in easier.
i felt a pinch but i didnt know he was doing it he tricked me said he was lining the clamp or something like that then he was like its done so but ive had two my tongue and belly and the initial piercing didnt hurt at all it was the healing process's that totally sucked but the piercings were totally worth it
