@Jsqaured Electric engines provide instantaneous torque , compared to IC engines which build up torque. It probably could out-run a ferrari from a standing start for a bit until the superior power of the Ferrari kicked in

@camwizardoz Yeah but that isn't "out running". Yeah, it gets a quicker start but it doesn't pull away at top speeds. Thats not out running a Ferrari. That car would probably lead for 5 seconds and then lose it's lead. Again, I wouldn't call that out running.

@AngleBisector90 If I am remembering correctly, it weighs about as much as a normal sized compact car, but in a super small package. It's weight comes from the batteries. They sit at the very bottom of the car and that weight gives the Tango it's stability.

Since 90% of all car trips are done by single drivers and 98% of all commutes hold only the driver and at most one passenger, the entire passenger side of standard width cars is hugely wasteful. Look at a picture of congested traffic. Then, imagine all of the cars as motorcycles - you would immediately see that traffic would move again. Then, imagine all the motorcyles as Tangos. It's the smartest way to use space on the roads.

I really love the idea behind this car! The specification and quality of execution is brilliant, but it needs a slight redesign for aesthetic appeal. Cost no object, I would change the interior to be more plush, the front lights to angled LED strips, and add some curves to the rear end and flare the wheel arches (to give a more grounded look), as well as the mirrors being more streamlined to give a slightly more quirky, bubbly, and less brick-like look.

Tango's faster, safer, more agile, easier to park than Impreza + even GoldWing, can lane split, fit in tighter places, 240km+ range, 2 seat, same drag coefficient as a 458, carbon fibre body, 217kph top speed, 0-100 4s, etc... just go to their site (commutercars/com)

@crackerstolemybike for some Impreza's may be cooler but the Tango is hand made and by custom order. also the Tango's quality is equal to a 911 Turbo. price for top line tango is $150k. $45k is when they sell more. If you're gonna have a family of 5 then get a Sienna, not an Impreza. And forget 'bout the R1 'cause you'll need that cash for your kids. Look, I love tuners, especially keijidōsha's but bottom line, Tango is the worlds fastest urban car. That I love.

@beholdcaesar Commuter Cars also equips the T600 with Lithium ion battery packs. I forget what the maximum capacity option is but they can easily do 120 miles and the max capacity may be 160 miles or more. Too bad they haven't achieved the economy of scale needed to get the price down. Right now, a lithium ion version T600 with maximum possible range runs ~ $150,000. I can only hope to win the lottery to own one of these.
