this is good for the budget price but i have to admit the Fender Strat is way better. Everything is better about it. The feel, tone and finish, what more do you want? I have owned the SX Swamp Ash Strat and now a MIM Strat and man what a difference! Save your money. Its waaay worth it and if you can get a U.S.A Strat even better. No offense to the uploader of this video, just saying my own personal experience. Btw nice improvation.
Nice video. Its me thinking about buying those pickups. I got a ash SX and I replaced the stock pickups for Fender Texas Special. It didnt fit at all. I hated. To bright with very small sustain no I dont know wit set will work for my guitar.
Both sound good but different for it. Custom shop 69 sound right for it too. You have to choose following your taste and playing. The amp you use is important too.
That little filler lick at 0:49 sounds sweet! Any chance you could include that into the video which fenderbender149 requested? I think it sounded really awesome ;)
Fender Blues Jr or Pro Jr would sound great with these pickups. Most Fender amps would. Not sure if Fender amps are considered affordable anymore though, after they increased their prices... ;)
haha okey thank you : ) well il ltry look around, just spent so much when i bough the guitar, about 14000 kr or 1400 pounds or 2200 dollar or whatever currency you use xD and thats pretty much for a 14 year old boy :S
I NEVER get tired of watching you play guitar. Your videos make me want to play with more soul and feeling. MOoooOOOOOooRE...me want MooooooOOOORE hahaha good stuff ^_^

Have you ever played through an amp that has Eminence Tonker speakers? And if yes, did you like them for rock-lead playing?

Oysy 2 years ago
As far as I remember from trying the MG amps, I'd say sorry but no.
rotren 2 years ago
okey, but would you reccomnd it? or is there any other affordable amps that would go with the 54's?

haha i'm sure you could be a great sales person for pickups worth 5 bucks or something.
sorry, you're just an awesome player. the pickups do sound awesome though

Thanks, yes these pickups are very vintage sounding.
rotren 2 years ago
can you do a lesson for what you played from :28 to 1 min? that would be awesome
fenderbender149 2 years ago 3
Ha, thanks, but that was just improvising something. I guess I could show the main rhythm part perhaps, the funky chording, etc.
rotren 2 years ago
that would be really cool if you had the time...it sounded great
fenderbender149 2 years ago
I second that. I'm trying to learn that and I can't yet figure out the chords that you are playing.
