i lvl up high still could not beat him shame i love this game so i watched this and the ending then i started ff13 2

Oh, i remember this bad guy...^^ Good that i did the whole lvling before i went there. It was a long long fight. but that's how it should be.. and epic long fight to the end. Had to watch this 2, before i start XIII-2!

Many complain about the fighting-system, but the story,graphics and all is still great!

I find the best paradigms to use for Light, Hope and Fang are -

L-Med F-Sen H-Med (for the beginning)

L-Rav F-Com H- Syn (use at the beginning then debuff him)

L-Com F-Sab H-Rav (after you debuff him go all out)

L-Rav F-Com H-Rav (if you get damaged, use a medic paradigm)

L-Med F-Com H-Syn

Well they worked for me and I killed him in 2:30 secs.

I think the Paradigm combinations of Commando-Saboteur-Ravager & Commando-Saboteur-Medic are good to use too. Of course Combat Clinic is the most important one. Once that Orphan gets staggered switch to Commando-Commando-Ravager and Commando-Commando-Medic once you team gets hurt. Should kill that fal'Cie in about 5mins.

I could understand why they had to kill Barthandelus but why Orphan? And why did he fight back? If we wanted to die...well we were trying to kill him. So why try to kill us? We're helping YOU out! That's what I was thinking after the final boss fights. And yes, I have been following along with the story, before anyone asks. That's why I am asking this question.

@belias360 Well, from what I could understand, they fought Orphan because they wanted to rid Barthandelus' existence, thus end the fal'Cie reign and possible future problems. Orphan was fighting back because he wanted to incite Ragnarok's awakening. Or something like that...

Dude..... Merciless Judgment NEVER kills you.... It only drop you down to 1% HP from your Max HP. It's just when he uses implement light or implement darkness, switch to your healing paradigm so you quickly heal because he will use merciless judgment immediately after implement light or darkness. That's all there is to it!!!

How are your stats so low? I have a little over 2k str on Lightning and close to 2k magic on hope, snows hp is over 10k and I am not at this part yet.

ok you known in the steeps ( big field) where u go to next part there is a bahemoth and big dog thingy fighting no matter how u aproch u will never be seen, so when u start make it so ur team is com/rav/rav and kill behemoth first he will be kill real quick, then kill dog takes bout 40 secs fight for 6600 points
