For everyone asking, the reason they were beat is because they do not have some Icon of their school on their uniforms (Their name or Mascot) which took a lot of points off of their score. I know this because my mom is a coach and I am allowed to see the score sheet

@northtumble I LOVE Johns Creek and they are amazing. The one part of the score sheet I know they did NOT max out was cheer. They scored a 2 on cheer at sectionals hence why you see the rushed stunt added at Finals during the cheer which only moved them to a 3. You may not agree and I know it's a hard pill to swallow but they got beat that weekend. They will continue to be amazing and I have no doubt they will pull off a win next year in 6A.

@wptumble29 lol yes I had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, God forbid me from doing that again.. I watched northgate, they were not as perfect as you are claiming they were, the standing tumbling was lacking and the running tumbling, and the stunt sequence might have gotten a high score but in no way was it physically more difficult then this teams, Johns Creek is highly original and they really put on a show by pushing themselves and creating a showstopping routine. Love ya though!

northgate was pretty flawless...best performance of the season...but johns creek did well, after i saw northgate i knew northgate was taking it home again...but i'd love johns creek to work on the single based stunts a bit more and work it out next year

Okay I agree that ng is an awesome team and they definitely deserved to win as much as jc did. Both teams are incredible- I agree ng had solid stunts, but the tumbling thing I don't agree with.. The execution of their specialty passes and even some of the tucks was awful.. That's why these teams were so equally deserving because ng was stronger in stunts and jc in tumbling.

Really tired of people saying NG didn't deserve it and JC did. You are WRONG. Northgate did EXACTLY on the scoresheet what you needed to win. It didn't matter if you did half-half full ups or real spinning full ups... they both scored the same... so when Johns creek did real ones and were shaky on the whole stunt and had bad timing... Northgate totally deserved to win. Same with tumbling numbers; Northgate stuck to what they needed and nothing more. Jumps and dance were WAY better too! Congrats!

They are clearly the best team in the state of GA at any level. Maybe they need to change thier image a bit. The uniforms are horrible and we've seen enough of the gladiator look. They were robbed as was Lassiter in 5A.

i'D LOVE TO SEE THAT SCORESHEET...... It must be politics because I not only competed in the hs but also years in the all star level, and this team has to max out in difficulty, and I didn't see any touch outs or bobbles or prone landings, my only guess is that the dance got a shitty score because that could of used some work, like they should of got Jamie Parrish to do the dance. Please post northgate and if they aren't flawless then i'm writing to GHSA from MA.

@corrh09 You're wrong, don't be ignorant. John's Creek did more than what was on the scoresheet and it totally killed their stunt executing and timing as well as jumps. There are specific numbers and elements on the scoresheet of what you need to do and Northgate hit them all, as well as did John's creek... Only NG was more perfect. John's Creek had amazing skill but should've held back and made their stunts a little more perfect like NG. You really don't have any idea what you're talking about.
