Jethro Tull's 'Jack in the Green' brought me to here! ..I'm happy it did..I've discovered Magpie Lane...........I want to dance to this naked in the woods!...........straight to my Playlist!
@Torkgasmicgirl8 Thank you for visting my channel. Magpie Lane perform some great music (hope you enjoy my other Magpie Lane slideshows). I'm glad to know that someone else likes them too.
Attended the Hastings 'Jack In The Green' last weekend - a brilliant festival and a lovely way to celebrate Beltane... Wishing you all a belated Happy Beltane to you all and look forward to the Summer Solstice for more festivities. Hurrah! :-P
@akrylicspikeproject Thank you. Sadly I worked that weekend but would love to have been there with all that energy and with the weather being so fine, you just know it was going to be good. Well I guess there is always next year ;-)
@noonoobaggins Absolutely. I caught the sun a lot that weekend. I and my gf both spent all day, every day whilst in Hastings. The finale had the most amazing, intense atmosphere. Despite the trendy/townie-types and the bikers' rally it was brilliant.
@noonoobaggins A time for children to remember Easter Bunnies & chocolate eggs? They'd never spoil that, surely. I mean chocolate and fictional cartoon/CG furry creatures are important, not to mention a major cash-in for the kiddywinks film industry with the success of 'Hop'. It's all about the money, not the tradition...hence why they're choosing May Day, because there's no marketing associated with it and therefore it simply "ruins business & trade"... pah!
@akrylicspikeproject Your so right. Funny but when I was at school it was about Jesus but you never see Robert Powell on that BH anymore. Or am I just to old and my memory is playing tricks ;-)
I'll keep Beltane, Samhain and mid-winter alive in my household while I have breath in my body.
@noonoobaggins Absolutely - even if they abolish the BH they can't take our pride and spirit. We'll carry on celebrating and honouring regardless. As long as the festivals themselves don't die off - it would be a shame to lose that fantastic, positive energy and vibe. It's amazing what such a gathering can do to life the spirits! :-)

Here's hoping that we don't have these celebrations spoilt next year if the gov. abolish the May Bank Hols.
I've joined the FB petition & here's a link with more info for those interested.

@akrylicspikeproject yep, seems we are to become a bland nation. Hard to celebrate May day/ Belatane if the BH is later in the year, eh!
