A turbo of a Opel/vauxhaul corsa 1.7Diesel is good enough.
Other things: Exaust downpipe, oilfeed and drain, intercooler + pipings and something to provide more fuel like a turbofueler or piggyback computer. Or even better a stand alone ECU
Too 0.4bar pressue you can run on the originel compression ratio. After that you'll need to lower the pistons about 2mm to get a lower C/R

people saying 150bhp is not possible from a 1.2 don't know what they are talking about!, most 1.1 turbos run in low boost at about 98bhp, hi boost up to 115bhp. 1242 conversions normally run 105on a low boost, 125 on hi boost, no because thats all they can take, because its hard to get it to run reliable. it is perfectly possible with fettling to get them to run 180bhp briefly hi boost, and if you want to go for a superfire engine, theoretcally, 230bhp is possible!!, i run these cars soi do know
the top spec cupra has a 1.8T and its front wheel drive.this isnt even a top spec cupra,it looks like the 180bhp model which is slower and still weights 1800kg
and putting a turbo on a 1.2 doesnt give it 10000bhp.

If that was a 2.8 V6 4WD then the body was put on the car the wrong way and he just reversed it for that sprint, no way could a 1.2 turbo kick out enough power through it's front wheels to out do the leon?????
kicking out 150bhp in a 1.2? for that you would have to bore it out to a 1.6,upgrade the internals,not to mention have a big ass turbo + intercoolers. some1 is telling porkapies. ;)

Thats correct..my friend had a 1.1 turbo cinq and he was running bout 118bhp!
For a car thet weights bout 750kg, thats alot of power..and most impressive for such a small car!
It was fucking asome!

They do make a 2.8 V6 engined Cupra, just that it never came to the UK. The top spec UK version was, as you said, the 1.8T FWD.
