Your curve cutting technique actually sux...., Concave curves should be completed before doing other cuts adjacent. Using a grinder to finish off a cut is poor form, grinding is for removing sharp edges and finishing very tight concaved lines. If it can not be cut to the line with your cutter, it is better to modify your pattern

Yes, there are many methods of working with glass.
An artist can modify a pattern and have less curves in it, and that is one way.
I enjoy the challenge of curves and circles creating my artwork as I visualize how I want it to be.
I do use my grinder and several sizes of bits to make some of the artwork possible.
If you prefer to modify your patterns with straighter lines, you should do that.
