I feel dating is just a area for emotional and physical comfort, therefore if you are dating, you are not depending on God to 1. Find you the perfect husband/ wife, your dating to "try out" multiple partners to find the one, which means your not trusting God to fill you and find you someone perfect. 2.Your setting yourself up for heartbreak which can be damaging to the soul and you are settling yourself up for temptation to have ungodly bonding, such as sex. Thanks pastor, this will help me to think more deeper about when and how I enter into a romantic relationships. And also it gives me some good questions for the girls. hey came at us hard, but the ladies have to answer some of these hard questions too. Cuz both men and women have to check themselves before we enter into relationships

@LOJETE85 I think he's giving the extreme scenario in the question to make a point. I personally don't think its wrong to hold hands, but every couple has to has consider what God is saying to them and what their boundaries are.

hey, I wrote down all the questions which turned out to be some work in between writing, pausing watching and understanding not that its not worth the work just recommanding build in pauses or something like that.
Question: It sounds like we should turn away any man that is not a godly man but what if he gets a chance to get to know god through us/me. I know that sometimes we just hope he will change but sometimes they do. Doesnt he derserve the opportunity to get to know god.

The problem is that these are NOT dating questions. These are MARRIAGE/SERIOUS DATING questions. If these questions are not answered when your relationship gets to that point, chances are you are not dating properly. To quote Henry Cloud, "Dating does not hurt people, but dating in out-of-control ways does." I'm not mad at the brother because I'm sure he is helping A LOT of females, but he is doing nothing to actually teach people how to guard their heart. (Col. 2:20-23)

@steppa03 For me, I don't believe in dating around. I've got too much doing and my time is precious. I have guy friends and two brothers, I can learn about the male psyche from them. So when I decide to date someone, its because I feel "it's time." So these questions are perfectly justifiable when you rank "dating" as a serious task. It's not a past time for a christian whose life is about God and what HE wants to do in and with you. Dating is never not serious for a mature christian. my opinion

I've been married for 6 years, to a wonderful husband. Thank you Pastor Cox for formulating this questionnaire it is excellent!. The truth is young single women need to think and investigate the man they are interested in before they get involved. Ladies don't choose a man based on how you feel, think and listen to the Spirit of God, not the voice of your impatience or desperation.
