  • Nice sound!

  • would this V10 be from the time when Ayrton Senna was racing for McLaren-Honda in '89 and '90 or would it be later

  • (=´∀`)人(´∀`=)

  • chuck norris hairdryer

  • M I have a tacoma... How can I buy this engine an slap it on my truck??

  • Very impressive . Like 850 HP out of a 3-Liter V8 ..

  • its virtually impossible to drop one of these engines into a street car. as powerful as it is, these engines are (for all intensive purposes) running on life support. they wouldn't be able to cope with real life. heres just one example. while off, the engine has to have hot "water" (idk the actual fluid used) pumped around it at ALL TIMES or it will seize due to the metal contracting.

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • since when did thay make a 10 cylender honda engine this is new to me?

  • @david1513 welcome back to the future

  • sounds off

  • Don't comepare a Ford engine to that/

  • Damn

  • Put a turbo on it!

  • nice toy engine now show us the real thing.. sike buy a mustang

  • @sk8ats1 oooo yeah a stang would stomp that f1 race engine

  • I'm talking about rpoduction V8's and cars

  • I'm talking production V8's for road cars

  • I meant production V8's for their production cars

  • The point is if Honda made V8's and V10's they'd spank other cars

  • @MaddDogg81 actually honda do make v8's they sponsor the izod indy car series

  • @MaddDogg81 mugen legend max, 500hp v-8 powered honda...don't know if it ever got to america though. but point is they do exist.

  • now, if only honda had the sense to put a v8 in one of their civil cars...

  • Mm I no tht thing uses a lot of gas

  • Kalo mw nyalain rokok gk perlu korek lg.....

  • Can I put that in my Honda?

  • 00:10 Vtec just kicked in yo! haha

  • WEAK!

  • jiz

  • It must fucking suck to be that O2 sensor at 0:14!

  • Why are there always two faggot ricers in the top comments sections?

It was funny the first time I saw that, 4 years ago.

Now it's stupid and it shows how uncultured you losers are.

  • lovely flames at the end :)

  • V8 2.4L 740 bhp 19 000 rpm + civic? xDDDD

  • shake then shift

  • Found my new engine swap!!

  • touch it

  • @08zstone08

Hahahaha if you put that in a go kart the torqu comming out of that thing would have you going like 80 miles an hour while its idling

  • I found a new motor for my gokart!!!

  • Now THAT'S VTEC!

  • Sounds awesome!!

  • Fuck Civics & CRXs & anything that even looks like it could be used to race or make the cops sit up and look at you hard. That's the "dumber that a box of rocks" way of doing things. It takes exactly ZERO brains to get noticed.

I'd drop that sweet V-10 into my all-factory-looking 1989 Accord LXi sleeper machine!

It doesn't turn heads at first glance because NOTHING looks out of place.

That's a lesson you zipper-heads need to learn.

Horsepower is more fun when you look like you don't have any.

  • @DrGoodwrench64 hell yes im with you i have a bmw z3 with a supercharged ls9 dont ask me how we fit it but we did it looks compleatly stock outside except for some nice corvette rims the only thing that is wrong for the word sleeper is it is LOUD and you cant stop the supercharger whine after about 3k rpm but its a ton of fun leaving a zr1 in the dust

  • @DrGoodwrench64 I want to put that in my wife's Honda Odyssey minivan. That would make an interesting sleeper.

  • @DrGoodwrench64 Oh, drop that engine in a 1993 Honda Domani with RWD conversion... uehuehueheh

  • @DrGoodwrench64 lol read your last line , thats why they say civic, selfown

  • @TheGreatWurstbrot

Civics and CRXs are popular Honda models to tweek out and pump up in my town. Even changing the exhaust system with something like a Borla muffler is enough to get the cops attention around here. Lower the thing, put a Whale-Tail on or add some ground effects, I promise you won't be driving long before you get pulled over.

Civics seem to be first choice (ok, maybe second) of cheap Hondas to beef up.

So your "selfown" comment is "self-trolled". Besides, Civics suck.

  • @DrGoodwrench64 lol Dream on. Setting aside the fact that that an F1 V10 costs a good half million dollars you go putting one it a street car and you'll learn real quick just how terrible street manners can be. You think cops notice riced out civics, wait till you go around town with this thing buzzing around at 14,000rpm+ all the time. Yeah, that's REAL inconspicuous. I'm sure nobody will notice.

    Just sayin, not hatin.

  • @DrGoodwrench64 you need to learn that you have the stupidest fucking idea get the opportunity to

stick that v-10 in a honda and you pick a heavy ass accord that cant take a turn or win a race even modded half

the time? might as well pick a honda oddesy

  • @DrGoodwrench64 no put it in my 99 LeSabre, people would be like, "what the fuck, did the magnetic poles just reverse or something?"

  • @DrGoodwrench64 the problem is that, before you install this v10 at your accord you dont have both even power even look lol

  • @DrGoodwrench64 stock civics and crx's dont look like they're used to race though... i'll admit that my prelude kinda does. but most of these cars look pretty normal until you do stuff to them.

  • @DrGoodwrench64 Yeah cause most people when they see a Civic assume it has an F1 V-10 in it right?

Oh wait hang on a second...

  • @DrGoodwrench64 amen sir. sleepers ftw

  • fuck a civic, drop it in to a s2k

  • civic suck in every way.

  • in 25 years, people are going to put these in their eg's. people are stepping up these days.

  • my f150 4.2 could use one of these right about now lol

  • @miketheredneckable wouldn't go so well pushing like 3 tonnes, it has torque but not that much lol

  • @miketheredneckable wouldn't go so well pushing like 3 tonnes, it has torque but not that much lol

  • id put it in a TODAY.. civics are too heavy

  • getting an S2000 and putting that inside.....

  • FUCKING AWESOME SOUND!!

  • I'd like that, in a fit :)

  • This, from the era and the visuals would be a 5.0 litre v10 but I could be wrong. Current regs limit to a 2.4 v8 and 18,000 rpm.

  • @sixstringslinger85

    3.0 V10 until 2005, after 2.4 V8.

  • aparently the exhaust system can be just pipes without any restriccion (with the correct shape and fluid-sum up) ... some people says that the free exhaust can burn the engine´s valves.

  • @secregistrado What they are saying is that cold air being sucked up short exhaust pipes on no-fuel engine decel. can cause the valves to crack due to the extreme temperature differences. As is evidenced in this video by the glowing pipes, there is no way any air that is NOT hot as hell will make it to those pretty inconel valves. For the record though, don't run your car with the manifold(s) pulled off. :)

  • @secregistrado

Running without any header pipes or pipes that are too short will eventually take its toll on your exhaust valves and seats.

Usually what will happen is when the exhaust valves get hot and you stop the engine, a back-draft of cold air will hit the valve and cause it to crystallize and "burn" the valve.

Restrictions = Cat, Resonator or Muffler or small diameter exhaust pipe can all be restrictive. OEM Exhaust manifolds SUCK! A tuned Header will always perform better and saves gas!

  • Luv it.....

  • that's one of my favourite songs on youtube

  • They sound like that because they run them at damn near 18000RPM

  • @JSF15th

19,000 for the new motors, 20,000 for the motors right before the newest ones.

  • why do they have that sound...and no other car has that?

  • @Ryandavis33 high compression

  • sounds like a elephant

  • this is going in an s2000

  • i wish that would fit in a civic :P

  • @yogyo look up civette. this motor may have an extra cylinder on each side, but the pistons are FAR smaller that a corvette. i believe this V10 is only a 3.0. I may be wrong.

  • @yogyo ofc it would never seen chop shop :D

  • @yogyo it could nothing is impossible my friend ive put 302s in civics

  • @yogyo

You can just SOVE IT IN OR OUT IT ON THE BACK SEAT LOL

  • @yogyo i do believe i could find some way to rig that up in the back of my teg :)

  • @yogyo trust me... with enough money u could fit a CUMMINS,DURAMAX,OR POWERTROCK IN A CIVIC

  • @yogyo what are you talking about this would easily fit into a civic... in the back seat..

  • @yogyo i probly would

  • they should put this on my lawn mower

  • Wonder if they'll make an F1 VTEC

  • @pendeho47 variable valve timing and lift is banned in F1.

  • @boardernut

Yeah I presumed that, was a joke :)

  • 2 hondas i would buy: NSX and S2000

  • @vkotis

Ek9 type R few some nice exhaust system or integra type r dc2 spec r.

    try driving those :D

  • i want one in my civic ;-}

  • honda vitech tabarnak de criss de calise men

  • @666laf ayoye twe t quebeckers pi sa parait...pa capable de dire un tite phrase sa avoir plus de sacre que de mot necessaire dedans.

  • they should put this on mtv

  • i want it!

  • i buy a Honda if it came with this in it

  • i'd like to have one of those honda engines for when we're out of power.

  • someone should lick that manifold

  • i wanna put this car in my celica

  • lmao do you know how many blown up civics get pulled into our shop from nos systems melting the pistons its unreal but civics are so cheap you can do that

  • How the hell do they tune these engines like that? They must be revving to the tens of thousands of RPMs, right? It's insane!

  • @PlayTilTheyBleed I believe that currently the F1 regulations have them limited to the 18k area for the redline. In the past they would hit 21k rpm. They are also below 3 liters, small short pistons and connection rods with a small crank allows it to spin that fast. They also idle about 3-4k rpm. F1 is the pinnacle of engine and car technology.

  • @suchin600R - Very interesting info, thanks! And I agree 100% about F1 engines being the pinnacle of engine and car tech. I'd love to see a really good video on how they build the whole car. I recently joined formula1.com. Great site with some incredible "ride along" videos. Cheers!

  • I dare someone to touch that manifold.

  • VTEC YO

  • VTEC YO

  • i wanna put one of these in my friends accord.

  • @PennybagDarrell yeah, wonder if they can get one of these into my dad's civic

  • At first I was shocked that it sounded so much like a F1 car. Then I realised how much of a retard I am. :D

  • did i hear vtec at 0:08???? shiet

  • VTEC!

  • @venomt

Variable valve timing isn't allowed in F1.

  • it's so small.......but big inside

  • thats the engine of choice in the next civic!

  • its a shame they put a restriction on the revs in f1. thats the main reason for honda to quit the sport. when evryone else was running at 19k back in 1999 honda was reving 20k. in 2005 it would go past the 22k line. look for grand prix of canada. on raw power sato overtook a championship winning mclaren

  • Honda is too smart!!!!!!

  • i want my motorcycle to turn 21,000 rpms like that.

  • i would like to see some one put that in a little civic lol..

  • @russianbmxer98 You could buy 100 civics for the price of that engine.

  • @russianbmxer98 even put taht engine in a Accord

  • @russianbmxer98 I would buy that civic . It will have massive torque steer issues but I will still buy it hahaahahahaha

  • @russianbmxer98 Ya lol stupid civics cos they go so easily into the car you got hey. Seen it heaps.

  • @russianbmxer98 that or toss it in to a S2000

  • what if that engine was in a honda civic

  • put that in a civic

  • Eggs?

  • I think the exhaust pipes get hot... 0___0

  • @meusicalentall27 no they look coold to me

  • v10 <3

  • hi there

  • Some just don't understand motorsports, as all sports, is quite culturally influenced. It is about the teamwork, motors, mechanics, tracks, audiences, drivers, incidents, explosive sounds, and yes, party, hot dogs, BBQ and many more. The whole point is having fun (with friends or family) and to feel the 'danger' in a controlled condition.. I race in amateur circuit events. It is very fun, but I yet have to be thrilled by top fuel dragster blasts and NASCAR pack racing pass in front of me!!!

  • i know a guy with a GRC italian midi moto that revs to 20k and makes 20hp with only 39cc's...sounds similar to this

  • straight line drag races are so boring.. So American.

Circuits are the true habitats of professional drivers! And i would give my life to go round Spa or Suzuka, for at least a couple of laps.

  • @shivex

yea going 0 to 320mph in less than 5 seconds... totally boring

  • 5 seconds...that's great

  • @Redrum4409

have you been to any NHRA events though? those top fuel dragsters blast off like rockets. The events are the closest the audiences can relate to rocket taking off.

  • @golferchin76

Not NHRA I went to a lower fuel class even once

with everything from dragsters and funny cars

to regular people with their street cars and

motorcycles.... I would love to see a NHRA

    event

  • it's 3.5 or 4 or something like that idk haven't been to one in a while.

  • @shivex

I race in amateur events in Thailand. My ride is a Mugen-looking 5th generation civic hatch (EG). The car basically (or is it not a car no more) is a roll cage welded chassis, with a JDM D15B engine (completely un-D15B though), and a bucket seat. Everything else's been stripped off. I race around our circuit 5 seconds faster than a stock Lotus Exige S. I love circuit racing.

now, until you actually go visit an US national NASCAR or NHRA top fuel drag event, pls do not discredit it.

  • also, no need to give your life for a few miserable laps around Spa or Suzuka :) Just take your car to Nurburing! you're very close to it.

no offense i am not trying to sound like something big. What I know of NASCAR (revs at roughly 9500rpm for 500 miles at speed of 320km/h) and NHRA top fuel drag racing (haven't seen them in real life yet) is that your heart will stop when NASCAR pack passes in front of you, and your butt trembles when top fuel dragsters shot off!

  • how many rmps can one of these turn? im not in to f1 so i know nothing about them lol

  • @strawhalf

Current F1 cars typically redline @ 18,000 RPM. Similar to performance road bike engines, but a whole lot bigger.

  • thanks

  • honda is awsome a small engine that can produce a good amount of power forwat it is wat 1.6 is faster then a b16a i dont no any plz tell me if u no and remember it has to be na not supercharged or turbo car just pure N.A

  • I think they should mass produce these engines and put them in the new civics.

  • That would mean each engine rebuild (after every 3-4 hours of use) would cost 10 fold more than a brand new fully loaded civic. If you're gonna do that might as well put it in a real car... if it's Honda I vote for an F1 powered NSX. Enzo killer maybe? LOL. Not very practical though. These engines are for the track and only the track.

  • Ha, Honda should make a breakthrough with a new alloy that could last 100k miles on these motors without a rebuild. Thats a little out there though. Just sayin, civics would shit on all muscle and it would be funny.

  • Hondas will NEVER shit on the muscle. Sorry.

  • Theres already hondas that do. Sorry.

  • heavily modified Hondas yes. But in the end its still a honda. Still shitty.

  • In the end, there still number 1 in f1 racing and number 1 in reliability and sales. The only thing muscle beats honda in is a straight line, everywhere else they lose. Dont get me wrong, I cant stand rice but you gotta give respect where its due.

  • You think Honda is rice? You're a fucking moron. Maybe some people rice out their cars like douchebags, but Honda is not rice.

  • @Fender927

They are far from Number 1 in F1. They were good years ago but that was during the 80's. Way way beyond today's times. Honda isn't even in F1 anymore, they were replaced by Brawn GP who uses Mercedes Benz F1 engines.

  • @Fender927

    THIS DUDE WINS THE INTERNET.

  • @Fender927 Honda doesn't have an F1 team.

  • @Fender927 Yea...just accept the fact.

  • @Fender927 Ford is number 1 in sales sir.

  • @Fender927 I agree,incredible attention to detail,unmatched quality control,its a well oiled machine.

  • @Fender927 You dont respect rice, you respect stock Hondas!

  • @Fender927 lol i havent seen many hondas that handle that well. they make eco cars lol not race cars...yes ik the s2k and nsx are amazing cars but besides that i dont really like honda lol

  • @Fender927 No you don't. FUCK Honda.

  • No!.. Fuck You!!! and get tha fuck out of a honda video if you hate it so much.

  • @khmer209racer You don't own the internet, you don't own this page and you probably don't own a Honda. I'll view whatever I please, whenever I please. I came here to hate on Hondas to people that give a shit about them. I am obviously succeeding in firing you up about it so please comment back with something you think is witty. That is unless you think can't now because I said this. Either way you're a chode. Your turn...

  • @dj1123 did i hurt your feelings? yes or no. dont give me a fuckin essay this time fag LOL (notice i laughed? cuz ur a joke)

  • @khmer209racer You responded. I win.

  • @dj1123 your a bitch, still a bitch, and alwayz a bitch. now go suck a dick bitch.

  • You just proved your intelligence. An engine hand-built and bread for maximum effort racing is an incredible piece of engineering, regardless of the name or where its built...but then again Ford/Cosworth did build the legendary V8...GO USA!

  • @powerhead357

Name me one muscle car that beats a civic type-R round a track?

    Viper?

    Corvette?

    Mustang?

Sorry man, those are not muscle cars, they are supersportscars and ofcourse they beat civic's

  • mustangs are called ponycars not super sports cars what does honda make thats faster than a vette? i mean i know a skyline is faster and a supra but not a civic or an s2000.

  • a corvette cr6 is a different story though, it should be compared with current generation GT-R, or the upcoming new NSX.

now try to race a stock JDM eighth generation Type R around a circuit, you won't find a competitor in the same FF class. I just can't find one.

It has decent acceleration, but It is designed to take corners!!! 10 seconds faster than DC5 JDM Integra Type R at Tsubuka (a mere 1.2mile circuit), 5 sec faster at Suzuka. And we all know that Integra Type R was a quick FF car!

  • check my uploads, our circuit hondas shit on the muscles. Lap time is ' 5 ' seconds faster than a stock Lotus Exige S which claims a 0-60 at 4 sec flat.

But I love American muscles anyways, for it looks.....Muscle in 60' steel form. All motors are different. American muscles, European exotics, Japanese imports, all have great stuffs in them. Just pick the bests from each of these bunches and ignore the ignorants.
