I got this for my birthday in December of 1999. I'm surprised my parents had such good tastes in video games back then. They always kept me on the forefront of beastin' ass games like this one.
I used to play this game a lot with my friends back in the days when it came out, back then none of us were very good at english (we are all norwegian). But we did make it far, but we never found all the space parts which has annoyed me for a long time, so i downloaded Project64 and the Jet force Gemini game Rom and started playing on my computer with my PS3 controller which i actually bought for this purpose i managed to complete the game today and i would rate this game higher than Halo
This music makes me think of sneaking into a big military cargo facility. Incidentally, the S.S. Anubis was that kind of vehicle if remember. Great music.
This was where you knew things were going to get epic. Goldwood was slow-paced and pretty easy, but as soon as you hear this music and the sound of the lasers firing, you know it's go-time.

the scenery When you were using the jet pack to fly around the ss anubis shooting the sniper ants while flying, the endless empty space behind you, around you the outer walls of the spacecraft, that scenery was burned in my head when i played this game. it is just so awesome one cannot even tell with words.
only thing i disliked about that game was the uncomfortable controlls. but i think they did the best one could do with that n64 controllers.

They have got to make a secong jfg if only there was a way to sign a large petition and get the developers to make it. Imo opinion this game was even better than legend of zelda ocarina of time its just zelda was a kids game so it had more players. No offense to zelda fans but i played both and i like them almost equal as much but this game took the cake in alot of areas zelda never could.
JFG would play so much better today now that we have dual-analog control schemes as standard. I would petition for a re-release on XBLA first, then get a petition together for JFG2. It would be amazing to play those with HD graphics and today's control schemes.
I understand where you are coming from, this game rules, but Zelda and Jet Force fall into a different genres. A Third Person v. Action Adv. I think this game annihilates most current games when it comes to quality.

I liked this level it wasnt as hard as the others but I always got stuck at this part in it when you were meant to get on top of these crates in this room in order to get a ship piece or somethin but I never found a way how =(

Well, I totally agree with you. But on the other hand you must see that a lot of you guys (even I) were young... really really young when we first played this game. It was fascinating and awesome. Do you mean this generation now would feel and see through similar eyes we did when we were young? I don't think so. Games lose in someway their qualitative aspect. That and Microsoft completely molested Rare. They were bought just because the 360 titles weren't cute enough. The result we players got were rushed and kidfriendly products out of a once great gaming company.
It's really too bad Rare won't bother with this awesome title anymore. It seems they put so much work and passion into it and then they just threw it aside like an old rug. Hopefully it'll catch the eye of some other company who would maybe be willing to buy the license and resurrect it.

The original developers need to band together and create their own studio, hire Robin Beanland, and create a TRUE sequel to this game, if the "Rare" from now did it, it would probably just ruin the memory, kinda like Perfect Dark Zero.....
This brings back such good memories! I remember playing this game in the summer and fighting those flying eyeball things in that cargo room, with all of those ant-men coming at me. This was back when video games were still nerdy. Oh god, the euphoria I experience with this track is too much to explain :P
Companies like RARE are tough to maintain. They need the expertise of a giant like Nintendo to guide them in order to make games that are epic.
Nintendo oversee all RARE activities and gave the push where it was needed and the attention to help them make games like James Bond GoldenEye, Jet Force Gemini, Diddy kong Racing. All epic games!

Well, I totally agree with you. But on the other hand you must see that a lot of you guys (even I) were young... really really young when we first played this game. It was fascinating and awesome. Do you mean this generation now would feel and see through similar eyes we did when we were young? I don't think so. Games lose in someway their qualitative aspect. the Wii is a gamecube with a motion sensor bolted only slighly good games are the few made by Nintendo.i just wish that their fans would realise that Nintendo USED to be great .the N64 and Gamecube were very good,but the Wii is terrible,it's boring,un-fun and they know their fans are idiots easily entertained by colours and lights,so they just throw mario,metroid and zelda at you,and you love them for that.

It's really too bad Rare won't bother with this awesome title anymore. It seems they put so much work and passion into it and then they just threw it aside like an old rug. Hopefully it'll catch the eye of some other company who would maybe be willing to buy the license and resurrect it.

This brings back such good memories! I remember playing this game in the summer and fighting those flying eyeball things in that cargo room, with all of those ant-men coming at me. This was back when video games were still nerdy. Oh god, the euphoria I experience with this track is too much to explain :P

Companies like RARE are tough to maintain. They need the expertise of a giant like Nintendo to guide them in order to make games that are epic.
Nintendo oversee all RARE activities and gave the push where it was needed and the attention to help them make games like James Bond GoldenEye, Jet Force Gemini, Diddy kong Racing. All epic games!

LoL you dont get the master plan. Sony and Microsoft have managed to steal fans from Nintendo to the point where Gamecube was a failure not in games but in sales.
So Nintendo made a console that would attract the younger ages, make them grow up with Nintendo and then release the next console (wii 2) with hardcore games, HD, and powerful graphics and regain the hardcore mass. Its a master plan.
Nintendo knows what they are doing. And by the way...Wii is tons of fan.

Monthly speaking, Wii sales from 2006 up to end of 2008 Wii has been selling double the sales of PS3 and Xbox combined in the region of America. In Japan......well....let me say that Wii is like light years away from the others except recently PSP and DS.
As for the 3 games you mentioned...make that 30 and those are even half of them. Check E3 2009 asshole and see the Wii games that are coming. And if you are not an Xbot...then how about a Sony Cow!

ALso it broke down so often that you had to buy 2-3 PS2 to hold your for 3 years!

Then they get it home, and realize that Nintendo has fallen from grace. Most the people I know who have a Wii were super excited when they got it, for about a week, then they grew bored of it.
