  • You my friend are full of it, yeah shit. teh price is so marked up, that families do strugle with these failed false prices. Thats just my opnion, but this is my CAnada, my land, and sales staff, store owners like you ruin the party mac

  • @beaujolais111 Sorry you feel that way. Good luck in all of your endeavors.

  • your vids are so helpful thanks so much!

  • Hi, hopefully you can help me out a little bit for picking a good board.

I'm an Improving/Intermediate rider, been riding for 5 years, each year for only one week though.

My length is 6.3, 205 lbs and my shoe size in mens boots are 11 (US).

I'm mostly riding on the pistes, sometimes going off-piste.

Not really a park rider but the V-rocker kind of type does sound good to me, anyway hope you can help me out, if you need to know more let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Oblivion104 V Rocker can be a little squirrely at higher speeds. I would suggest something with a hybrid rocker/camber profile shape. Such as the rossignol one mag midwide, Custom Flying V wide. or something like the K2 Lifelike Wide Snowboard 160 or Ride Antic Wide Snowboard 162

  • @thehouseboardshop Thanks a bunch man, I'll look into them!

What about the Lib Tech's Attack banana or Skunk Apes, around 161/165?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Oblivion104 The Skunk Ape is a super sick board and with a waist width of 268 mm it would be a really good option.

  • @thehouseboardshop Great, thanks for the advice. I was looking at them yesterday, both the Attack Banana and the Skunk Ape and I liked those alot (look and the idea of it).

  • What is one of the best park boards but i can also do the entire mountain?(possibly inside of burton company). and can you also recommend a binding that can do the same?

  • I'm 6ft tall and 180lbs. boot size 11.5. I have a Rossignol Trickstick 154mw board and I'm wondering if this board is too small for me. I purchased it because a) it was the longest board available in wide and b) i met the weight requirements. I'm a beginner also. aahHH~

  • @gomajuhshi It is a little small for your size, but it will work and help you progress as it is a good beginner/intermediate board.

  • Alright thanks

  • Thanks, should a burton binding fit well too?

  • @InfernoItaliono Yep just about any Burton binding will work. (The EST WILL NOT)

  • I got kinda confused, im around 5'3 125 pounds shoe size in mens boots are 6-7 and i ride jumps but powder so like a freestyle /powder. Im looking for a board that doesnt feel all the bumps like mine that really makes it hard on high speeds or landing

  • @InfernoItaliono i would check out the Burton custom flying v smalls 145cm

  • Wats that board called third down on the left

  • @MrAngrybird6 Rossi J dub

  • Hey so how much would a board cost If I'm barely starting to do park but I also like to freeride? About

  • @isnipecod Around $250-$350.

  • capita baby!

  • Could you tell me what kind of snowboard I should buy becaus i dont know anything about snowboards.I never boarded....Im 165-175cm high and i wear footsize 39-41

  • And i snowboard down some small-medium hills and will use the snowboard for speed and some tricks.

  • @jboy15fullcaliber and i ride regular

  • P.s. I'm a male and any feed back would be greatly appreciated :). Thank you :)

  • hi i'm a 16 year old snowboarder and have been snowboarding 5 years but have never had a real snowboard but a pretty good $60 one that my mom got from wal-mart 5 years ago and i have been trying to get a new one for to years now but everything is so expensive now a days :P. But anyway i'm 4'11", weigh 105 lbs., i am a 41/2 boot size, and ik the basics and some spins and a few more tricks so i guess i'm a lilttle above average :P. But i want to know what would be a set up for me and how much $?

  • im male, 5'10 and 140 lbs and i am a size 10 boot. im a park rider for the most part and i was looking for a Burton Mr nice guy or a lib tech skate banana and i want to know which is the better choice, or if there would be a better choice for me. so if you have any advice in what i should get please reply.

  • Im male, 5f9, about 180Ibs size feet (UK 9/10, US 10/11). Never snowboard before but im a fast learner, natural sportsman. I will be using the board for everything and speed - slow, med and fast but dunno what type of board to get. Any help please.

  • @MightyMitchx get a wide board if at all possible. otherwise you may run into ur toes and heels catching on the snow. my boot size is 11 and i ride a wide. if you wanted something all around that can take a beating i'd say capita horrorscope which is sort of park oriented but i use it for fast mountain riding too. if you want to go a little cheaper my friend owns the burton bullet and has a ton of fun with it in the park and on the hill. i hoped this helped at least a little bit..

  • @MajorOPayne Many thanks for the answer :D

  • Please could you recommend a board for me.. I've boarded about 15 days total and have done the odd low box but i generally just ride the pistes a medium pace.. Im 6'1'', 145 lbs, female, size 10 boot. I ride goofy but sometimes go regular too. Many thanks for your help!

  • @Japflack The Burton Feather Wide Snowboard would b a great board.

  • @thehouseboardshop

Hey, Thanks lots for the advice. That board looks cool. What length would you say? Will the 152 Wide be long enough given my height (6'1'') do you think...?

  • I'm 5'6 125 lbs and wear a size 8.5 shoe. What would be a good set up for me?

  • im 5'9 145 pound female with a size 10 foot looking at the Ride Compact (143, 147 or 150). Is that a good board to be looking at and if so, which of the listed sizes would be best to buy?

  • @appleuserUSA Based on you weight I would suggest the 147 or 150.Befor i know if its good board for you i need to know a little more about you and your riding style. How long have you been riding?? Are you in the park a lot? or are you more into freeriding? do you like to fast? and have you used a rocker board before?

  • @thehouseboardshop i have never snowboarded before! this will be my first time going out. would you recommend something different for my experience level?

  • @appleuserUSA In that case i would recommended the Burton Feather Wide Snowboard 148. It has Burton EZ V rocker which will help you learn much faster.

  • @thehouseboardshop ok i will look into that one. Is there another board besides that one that you would recommend i also look at. (Just so I have options)

  • @thehouseboardshop also, do you have an email that i can reach you, or someone at the house at? just for questions to make it a little easier to keep track if these.

  • @appleuserUSA Sure you can email me at dana /a/ the-house (dot) com. and check out

the Burton Genie Snowboard 150, Capita Space Metal Fantasy FK Snowboard 149 and teh Salomon Spark Snowboard 148

  • hey i have just started out and needed help on board size im 190lbs 5`11 and a size 11 to 12 foot?? any help wld be grate cheers

  • @demonclayton Your going to want to get a wide and because your new to snowboarding you going to want to get something with technology built for a beginner. Such as the Burton Bullet Wide Snowboard 157 or the K2 Brigade Wide Snowboard 159.

  • Uuum I'm a begginer I only went once all I do is ride down the hills and try to do little jumps here and there I'm 13. 5 feet tall and 110 lbs. And I got 200 hundred dollars which would be a good board for me

  • thank you

  • if im a beginner at snowboarding, but i want to do those small mountains and sometimes powder and i like to go fast, should i get a freeride board or an all mountain board? if so what would be the best budget brand and board

  • im 5 ft and about 115lb and looking for park how big how much

  • 5'5 at 235 lbs with a 9.5 size foot looking to pick up a K2 Brigade. What size board should I get? Thanks in advance.

  • @xJIMIZZYx 159 or the 161. Shorter if you into park and longer if you into freeriding.

  • i'm 5'5 110-120lbs. someone who can ride double blacks without falling. and can do simple things in the park. what kind of flex rate should i have? camber or rocker? and what are some boards that you would suggest?

  • @wtpbmx1000 Anytime.

  • @wtpbmx1000 Yes they will work ok together

  • @DeFinePhenom Its Extra soft and playful definitely fun for the park.

  • im 6'3 and 180lbs i have an 11 boot and like hitting the parks and mountain what would be a good board for me?

  • im 6'1 and 160lbs, i have 13 boot, is the 159w skate banana a good size?

  • What would be a good board for me? I'm 6'1" 235 Beginner $500 budget.Powder/Machine Groomed

  • @Brandonbeck68 What size feet do you have? Do you need board, bindings and boots or are you just looking to get a new board under $500.

  • @thehouseboardshop Size 11, Need board bindings and boots

  • @Brandonbeck68 For a full package under 500 I am going to have to recommend the Burton moto's $150

Burton Missions $200 of Union Flights $150 or Ride LX $130

    Ride Manic Wide Snowboard 160 $287.95, K2 Raygun Wide Snowboard 160 279.95

  • @Brandonbeck68 Here are some of my favorite freeride boards.

Rossignol One Magtek Midwide 161 - this is my favorite board of 2011***

    Ride Highlife wide 163

    Burton Sherlock 163

  • @Brandonbeck68 definately get missions i have the 2011 model and they deystroy everything. i do slopestyle contests and backcountry mish's and they never let me down. the fullbed cushioning is extremely comfy.

  • im in the park alot and i want a soft board and i want a top board i wana know what other people would say is good

  • @TheSuboftheday Here are some of the top boards out there. Capita Horrorscope FK Snowboard, k2 World Wide Weapon, Ride Crush , Ride Kink (flex 5), capita Indoor survival, Skate banana, gnu park pickle.

  • quick question, looking for suggestions, id call myself an intermediate, all-mountain rider... with a budget. i want something nice but i don't wanna break the bank. im a small guy, 5'6" 125lbs, i work in rentals at a ski place so i know what legnth i would usually use. but basically, newengland riding, so mostly icy, and i love boarding, so i want somthing i can grow with, thanks, suggestions?

  • @VGK2Dp What kind of budget are you working with?

  • @thehouseboardshop three and change (on board) so like $350 tops?

  • are there any other board similar to that ?

  • @TheKilla3030 Tons, Here Two to check out. Capita Midblower, K2 Raygun or Fastplant. just to name a few

  • also quite abit of urban stuff/ jibbing

  • @TheKilla3030 I think you would really like the Capita Indoor survival. A good length would be 156cm

  • i spend about 30% in groomed runs, 60% park and 10 in back country i really dont backcountry often , really only do when i visit family in col.

  • im gettin a new board for the 12/13 season and im riding a 148 now, im thinking about hittin the park alot more, i was wondering what a good board for me would be, id prob gonna be around 6'0 and 180 by then since i grow quickly i enjoy my ride but want a little more flex

  • @TheKilla3030 What % of your time do you spend in the park, groomed runs, and backcountry? We'll work our way to a decision from there.

  • Hey i was wondering if i shud get a wide board i have a size 10.5 boot im 6'2 and 160lbs, i am done growing for the most part. Does a wide board have any restrictions ir downside? Please help!

  • @ThePremiumBlue Because you have a 10.5 you will not need to get a wide board. Although you could. Wide boards are a little bit slower edged to edge because of the extra width. For the guys with bigger feet it is well worth it to reduce heal and toe drag.

  • Check out the Burton Hero Smalls 142. This board rips and it's a great price!

  • Im 5'6 i weigh 100 pounds and i am 13. i have gone twice and did lessons. i want a all mountain board but thats all i really know. and i want a board that is going to have flex. what do you recommend. and for a 200 dollar budget

  • Comment removed

  • This would be my first year snowboarding, so im just a beginner. So im 5'2 to 5'4 or 5'5 im not sure ... i weigh 140lb my foot size is 10.5 ... my price range would be to 200 to 300. What would you recommend on what kind of board and boots and bindings should i get ?

  • @StevenCardinal im 5'4

  • @iGeNTriXz How much do you weigh?

  • this is my second year snowbooarding now and last year i used my friends board but now im getting my own this year. i didnt do park last year but im starting to do it this year. just mainly boxes, rails and some small jumps. im 14 years old 5'4 and i weigh 115 what setup with boots bindings and board do you recommend

  • @boredouttamyhead1199 What kind of budget are you working with? For boots i would recommend Some Burton Motos or 32 lashed. For bindings, Burton Missions or Union Flite. For the board we have the Burton Clash Snowboard 145, K2 Playback Snowboard 145, K2 Vandal Wide Snowboard 145 or the Capita Horrorscope FK Snowboard 145

  • @thehouseboardshop hah... small 14 year old... if i'm looking for something affordable (2-300$ for the board itself) and i'm 13, about 6'1 / 6'2, and about 185 pounds and wear a size 15, what would you reccomend?

  • @machinegunboy98 I would recommend the K2 Brigade Wide Snowboard 159 - it has a waist width of 26.5 and a cost around 239.95

  • I bought my new board from the-house a couple weeks ago.... fantastic board and my bindings and boots are just amazing. Amazing people who work there too very nice!

  • @LoverTheColorBlack Thanks you! What board setup did you get?

  • @thehouseboardshop twin rocker free style/all mountain :), i also got the new 2012 Burton stilettos great bindings!

  • where did you get that dvs bench?

  • @yowristband Not sure, but i think it is a sticker1

  • can i put mens bindings on a kids board?

  • @loudon96b you can but you most likely going to have to modify them with a saw. or they might fit perfectly

  • hey bud!! im pretty new to snowboarding but have picked it up pretty quick and i was looking at getting the ross angus 2012 board!! would you reccomend this board to me also i have size 10-10.5 shoe about 175cm in hieght and way 90 kg which is about 200lb i think what size would you also reccomend cheers!!

  • wow u guys really help out...im the market for a board i ride mainly groomed runs with some boxes and minor jumps nothing serious tho.iam 177 cm and 80kg and have size 10 shoe..what board do u think best suits me..I was looking at the burton hero?any help would be appreciated thanks! :-D

  • @kuntakentay05 I am sure you would love the Burton Hero 158, also check out the gnu carbon credit

  • Hey.

I'm looking for an intermediate board that would last. I pretty much ride for fun but I like to hit some jumps and carve. 173 cm tall,

About 65kg and size 10. Looking to spend about 400-500.

    Thanks

  • @Cr0me4 One board that is really great is the Rossignol one magtek 153, withe the amptek-camber/ rocker porfile - the board is playful yet stable. and with the help of mange traction this board can handle all conditions. other then that i would recommend the k2 fastplant, Gnu carbon credit, or ANY BOARD WITH C2 BTX OR EC2 BTX. look for a board that are anywhere from 151 to 155. Cheers

  • Hi,

Im really confused about choosing snowboard for upcomming winter season. And it is just because of variety of sizing calculators online, which are giving different answers. Maybe you could help me and put me in a right way. I'm intermediate rider, 184cm tall,72kg, and feet size 44. Mostly riding in tracks, no offroad, no parks or very small with little ramps and rails, but while riding down, love to make jumps, sharp turns and other fun. What type and size my board should be?

  • @tadke1 (158 lb shoes size 9.5 or 10) I am a big fan of boards with magne traction, such as the rossignol Magtek, Gnu, and libtech, as for the board length I would suggest anywhere form a 153 to a 158 it sounds like would like a board around a 156. Rossignol amptek is great for all mountain free riding and so is Gnu and LIb Techs C2btx or EC2 btx

  • @thehouseboardshop thanks a lot. I didnt even known what is magne traction technology, and when I googled a lil bit, I realised, that it is really cool thing. And maybe something about board width? What minimum waist wouldn't be too narrow for my boots size?

  • Hey i'm 17 im boarding now since 4 years ...i learned a lot of runway freestyle (the beginner stuff i guess :D) like 360, Nosepress a some i dont remember the name....at this time i had a beginner board wich seems only was good for coming done the hill withouth kicking me out but for tricks it was pretty shity ...it was like bending a table :P oh and im 6ft. WHat board would you recommend?

P.s sry for the bad english im from germany :D

  • @PaFe94 No worries, your English is just fine.... anyways, how much do you weigh and what size feet do you have? Also are you planing of spending most of you time in the park or do you get to ride back country?

  • @thehouseboardshop the size of my feet is 45 (in the US itis 11.5 i guess) and my weigh is 74 kg. runway and park i never go offroad :P i want to have a "funboard" if something like this exist ;D my last teacher told me something about a "Twin Tap Rocker Board" i hope i write it right...im sorry for my knowledgeless i couldnt explaine it much better in german :D

  • @PaFe94 Well first off you are going to want to get a wide board. Rather than a pure rocker board I would recommend getting something with hybrid camber... both rocker and camber. The rocker boards are fun especially for playing around in the park, but they are a little sketchy at high speeds. I would suggest checking out some of the hybrid board from Flow, With I rock or EZ rock technology. and also any of the midwide Rossingol amptek magtek boards, which are my are my favorite to ride

  • @thehouseboardshop Thx bro :D :)

  • hey, im more of a cruising type, and im intermedite, my budgets tight under 200 for the board what can you reccomend?

  • @boo6r Whats your weight, height and boot size? and what is you riding style?

  • @thehouseboardshop IM 143 pounds, 5ft 3, boots size 10. riding style im not shure im not big on the park i just like to cruise, carve.

  • @boo6r here are a few to check out around your price rang. Salomon Pulse 152 or 156, Head Rush Rocka Snowboard 153 ( Rocker snowboard) ,Forum Rat Snowboard 153, Salomon Ace Snowboard 153

  • @thehouseboardshop alright thanks i found the morrow invasion all mountain freestyle probably getting that one, one last question can any boot fit into flow bindings?

  • @boo6r Good board for the money.as for the boots Just about any would work. I would pick out some lower price Burton boots, your feet well thank you. the one boot that you may have trouble with is from evol, they are a higher volume boots so they might not fit that well. other wise as long as you get the right size flow binding for you boot size you should be fine. Also Check out the k2 cinch ctc they are like the flows.

  • @thehouseboardshop thank you one more time for everything im getting the burton moto

  • hey i am 13 and i am some what new to park boarding and i am 80 pounds

    i am 5ft and i want a board that'll fit me for about 2 years+

and what boards would you recommend?

  • @TheRexx101 besides the other boards i sent you. Check out the Ride Agenda Snowboard 142. it is a little big for you right now, but you should growing in to it in no time.

  • i really want to start snowboarding!

  • @newmattygosling Well Whats stopping you? Get out there, we only have a few weeks left in the season.

  • hey, have a rossignal dazer 153 and i have burton custom si step ns and was wondering f i can buy straps to put on the bindings? are they compatible?

  • @k1234567890p ya right u probably wish u had that set up. ur probably fat and play mw3 all day and ur just tryin to b cool. btw that set up is crap

  • hey dave, im 15 years old, 135 pounds, 6,1ft tall. i was looking at the 2011 capita horrorscope in a 151. i got into park 1.5 years ago. i'm looking for a really good park board and i heard this one is it. what do you think? if not do you have any other that would be good?

  • @ToAsTyBuRRiiTo

That is a sick board and you would lover it. I Do, in fact i probably love it a little too much!

    -D

  • @thehouseboardshop thanks alot man. i appreciate it.

  • First of all GREAT videos, none of the expertvillage crap that doesnt actually teach anything.

I've been riding for 3 years and i go about 3 times a year. I am 6'0 and 175 lbs, and i've been told that i should get a 153cm board because it will allow the nice carving and downhill riding but if i wanna do more fancy stuff that board will allow it. Thoughts?

  • Respond to this video... To tell you the truth i would get a board that is a little bigger. In the powder a 153 will be a little bit small for you, for you I would be looking at boards in the 154-157cm range.

What do you mean by "more fancy stuff"? Are we talking park, half pipe or backcountry?

  • @thehouseboardshop

Thanks for the advice, got a 156. By more fancy stuff i meant some park with a lot of ground tricks :)

  • WOW !! the ONLY informative video on youtube...but bro help me out, im 134 lbs 5'6-5'7 and my boot size is 11 and im intermediate...what board would you recommend ??

  • @MrDRsFinest

I would get something around the 147-153cm in a mid wide. here are a few options to check out

Rossignol Trickstick Amptek Midwide Snowboard 151 2011

Salomon Sanchez Magnum Snowboard 148 201

Rossignol One Magtek Snowboard 153 2011 - Mens

Capita Horrorscope FK Wide Snowboard Multi 151 2011

  • Very informative Bro!
