King Cobra are unfortunately an endangered species, and as the demand for them increases the worse chance they have surviving in the wild. (It's not traditional or ceremonial for a tourist to take part in.)

I apologize for mistaking the snake for a King cobra, a snake I happen to know a lot about and which is threatened with extinction in VN, and the region. I live and work in VN, and am working to save Vietnam's remaining wildlife.

If it was not a king cobra (the King cobra is not known to breed in captivity in VN), then it may have been bred in captivity, and there fore is no problem to wild populations.
