  • I think it's great that they recorded the theme tune for Henry Kelly's programme "Going For Gold". This is a bit of a different arrangement though.

  • I first heard this sat on the toilet having a massive shxt - it ws like i was freeing nelson mandela

  • @ifthisisaman A 27 year constipation?... Now that's gotta hurt!

  • Happy Daze and so many great bands around at the time that never made it big.

  • this was playing on the radio when my girlfriend told me we were expecting our son (about march'96) he's a healthy 15 year old now and this tune is still ace!

  • Quliaty, great times, great gigs, Has anyone heard the Shed'd version of Cliff Richard's wired for Sound - it rocks can't seem to find it anywhere on YouTube.

  • Can't belive I remeber all the words

  • this is good anythigh recently is just purile music died in this decade with a few exeptions

  • Bob on this.

  • could make a good theme tune for london 2012 me thinks...come on team GB lets get loads of gold......

  • Rick Witter rhyming slang for Shitter

  • I saw these before Oasis once and at the end of the set Rick shouted "Enjoy Oasis!" - I think he knew we were never going to enjoy Oasis after that performance!!! Brilliant.

  • "what am I? I'm a criminally underrated band from the north of England. Much maligned in my time but now widely seen as one the superior talents of the Brit Pop scene with a clutch a catchy singles that still seem fresh today...."

  • i've heared that henry kelly is a big fan of this song, play up. great tune. werull.

  • no matter what song, better or worse, can match the memories attatched to this song! love it! ♥

  • 90's indie pop, i miss it so much, this song reminds me of the youth club i used to goto on a friday night when i was in year 7. Snogging some girl after i bought her a curly wurly, girls were easy back then. As much as i love the 90s i can't stand thinking about it, that horrible nostalgic feeling you get knowing you'll never see those times again.

  • @Ricscott all i remember was cider and stinging nettles ha ha ha .diggin a bit of reef these days too,,,were gettin old son lol

  • @Ricscott Yep the 90's.. lol.. Shed 7... Brings back memorys... Good time... Happy daze... Miss the music soooooo much.... and yep I feel same as you Riscott, dont like thinking that era has gone... anyway well said man....

  • @Ricscott Amen dude. It almost brings a tear to my eye ( or shed a tear if you will) The greatest times of my life and a time I will never ever forget!!

  • @Ricscott that is both amusing and a little sad but I know what you mean.maybe you will look back on the music you're listening to now in the same way 10/15 years from now.and besides, there will always be curly wurlys and slags so dont worry

  • @joerthechimp You may not always be able to procure one with the other though.

  • @joerthechimp You may not always be able to procure one with the other though.

  • @Ricscott Been finding a way to describe that feeling and tbh mate i think u hit the nail on the head there!!

  • @cutandpaste1 P-R-I-C-K!!

  • 96 what a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • JR04 <3

  • I never said never, ever...

  • Are you here for my pleasure ? or are you going for gold ?

  • Chhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooon!

  • The intro to this has always reminded me of Elvis Suspicious Minds or Soul To Squeeze by RHCP

  • @booziesuzie haha! ye i no where yor coming from! maybe everything from 1950 onward is plagurism!! u only have to listen to Oasis, and the fact that Noel had to pay royalties to Neil Innes for one of their songs (don't wanna be too specific without my wiki brain coz peeps tend to get a bit violent on youtube if ya don no the facts lol!! ) but hey, that's wot it's all about! Gud observation boozie Suzie....wot's yor number?????

  • This is still a great tune!!! :))

  • are you here for my pleasure.textbook lyrics, quality tune.nuff said

  • what a fuckin tune, brings me back 2 v-fest,off my face watchin the sheds

  • Quality nuff said

  • My cousin is Tom who plays Bass :D

  • You know I think the reason that the Sheds have got so much unwarranted bad press is just because certain muso journalists had a downer on them and it became the "cool" thing to say that Shed 7 were crap.

I can remember thinking at the time, "well they may not be brilliant, but they certainly aren't crap", and lo and behold, quite a few of their tracks have stood the test of time.

    It's a fickle old business.

  • Fucktard? Like you're slowing people down or like people are slowing themselves.

I am completely retarded when it comes to MTV.

The singer sings it like he knows he's gold.

  • this intro is just one of the best..great band, great live ...

  • great ban , great song! definately unsung heroes of the music world , lots of bands like this escaped the big media attention , but the real music fans always recognised them! along with bands like the charlatans , ocean colour scene , bluetones etc these lead the way , great music any time of the year and brill festival stuff

  • @carlodaly1983 thanks for the nice comments, glad you like the music lol

  • too bloody right. this is one the best tunes of the 90s

  • Would you prefer us to be talking like some ginger pratt with a plum in his mouth, who is somewhat incogruously pretending to be a stalwart headhunter! Still part time percy's!

  • Duke of windsor?sounds more like a duke of kent merchant to me.What a humpback chelsea tosser.

  • Coming from a 41 yr old man who has a youtube clip of South London hoodrats on his home page, .....

  • 80's.....The time when Chelski fans abstained from watching the Clive the flasher Walker play at Stamford Bridge and then volte face decided to come back when Chelski acquired some new wealth! Part time percy's! Ok luvvie duvvie?

  • Dont forget to include when (Div 1) Chelsea had the 3rd largest away support in the league in that retro 80's compendium of yours eh diddums? Or ist that just too much of a myth debunker for you to comprehend?

  • Angst ridden windsor knot boy! Is your love for Glentoran a show of comradeship for those sectarian plums in the 6 counties? These De rigeur Chelsea right wing affiliations do a massive injustice to your multi cultural squad! Part time percy Chelski boys!! Wohay, Walking down the Kings Road, got nowhere to go!

  • 'Is your love for Glentoran a show of comradeship for those sectarian plums in the 6 counties?.

Mein Gott! How much wronger than wrong can you get. *sellotapes sides back together*

Right wing affiliations? Thats a tad 80's isnt it luvvie? Bit like wannabe indie journos i s'pose, but hey ho...

  • Ooooh hark at Seething Wells and Johnny Cigarettes below!!!

  • What I would like to know Duke of Windsor knot is, where were you when you were shit?

  • Legging witty and ascerbic 'angst' obsessives down Fulham Road, cruel.....but engaging none the less.

  • The heat is on! The time is right! And we're going for gold! Were they not the lyrics to that mid afternoon quiz game hosted by ex historian Henry Kelly! I reckon that is a far better tune than this torpid droll bland affair! What a shower of wankers this group was. Britpop my arse! More like shitpop with this turgid crew!

  • I see Bonnie tyler Durton has expended his meek barrage in one drabe expletive filled missive!Floundering on the banks on Danube! He has skulked back in to contriteness never to be heard of again!Basically a fool in stone island clothing!Rick the shit Witter would be proud of you!You both share one similarity, your both talentless cunts!

  • Shite seven led by the charismatic front man with half an octave vocal acrobatic skill...Rick the shit Whitter.Has anyone heard disco down its even funnier than this shit.I am in stitches.

  • I see a new eejit is attempting to join the discussion, but he touched cloth and removed his inarticulate ramblings! His incoherent expletives have gone the way of the Mensheviks,to the dustbins of History.Pity they can still be read on his profile though.Stupid little boy!You have bad taste and an even worse way with your missives!Go back to your tacky rollerblading and just kick some empty cans around your barren council estate! You lumpen fool!

  • oh dear! ive created a shed seven playlist, have a listen if u like. :D maybe it will chill u out a bit cool it lol

  • Er, No thanks.

  • lol fair enough each to their own

  • Me and ONE mate in high school, man! everyone though we were fucktards! we all dug suede, oasis, blur, ash, sleeper, pulp... but we were also into "the sheds" and fuck those fuckers that didn't dig it! I saw them live in glasgow in mid/late 90s. what a party!

  • @shovingwords happy go mate.. I never had friends who loved exact same bands I did and still do. I had to stick on internet

  • Is that all you can come up with Bonnie Tyler?A round of unremarkable expletives fired off in a lumpen Northen manner! I can see another Northern tragedy unfolding here too! Get off your knees and finish eating your greasy dinner off the chair and go and acquire some brains and retort properly next time! You Northern monkey. You plum!!

  • How right you are 07168.This dreadful barrage of antiseptic ITV mini series like tosh needs exposing under the full glare of the worlds media for the trite that it so evidently is! Rick Witter needs to stop trying to copy Tim Burgess from the Charlatans and get his hair cut and find himself alternative employment!Gods preserve us!This is as bad as Ocean Colour Scene, such limp wristed fey Northern Bollocks. Why do all these shit bands come from the North of England. The list is endless!

  • christ.I really had forgotten about this shower. Moreover I had forgotten how bad this dreadful tune was. What was it in homage to?Henry"the flasher"Kellys dire daytime quiz programme.Which in tandem with the shed eradicated the need for sleeping tablets.I've seen more soul in an ashtray.Worse still they seem to have reformed!!!!Get me out of here quick.

  • daarrnnn... love the 90's

  • 90's indie was amazing, beats anything out there now
