First Experiences with the HALO from Pantheon Steel

Sounds interesting. A bit metallic, haha. But anyway, i'm happy about your purchase and great experience. I have a Schlagwerk log drum now and happy with its wooden sound. But can't wait until i buy one halo for myself!

This tuning is being called the 7 note Minor Pentatonic 9... C ding - F Ab Bb C Eb F G. I was originally going to get the Ake Bono, but am very, very happy with this tuning. Be sure to post some vids when yours arrives. ;)

Sometimes during the video sounds like a gas tank drum... :-( ... nothing like a hang... or maybe a bell drum? will see the next evolution about HALO, right now I don't like it.

Well, there really is no pressure since currently the first 250 order spots are filled and likely orders won't be happening again until early next year or very late this year.

Where are the overtones? In some moments it sounds like these gas bottles drums. Not bad and not good for my ears. Only one more drum in the world.

Very clear harmonics when I listen.

Not hearing harmonics could very

well be a function of the speakers

used in listening to this video.

The tuning is good. But there are not much overtones. If you watch all the Hang Videos you can hear the difference. Not a problem with my speaker.

It's great to see the evolution of these instruments even though this is more of a copy of the Hang. I'm sure it will take some pressure of Felix and Sabina from the North American market. I hope this will give them more time to develop things further.
