My phone is faulty the screen freezes with lines running through from the side it's a problem with the slider getting crap inside. Btw this is my 2nd play the 1st i had did the same thing i love the phone alot tho think it's time for a Samsung :(

@ajeeb302 Yeah! I definitely recommend it! It's an awesome phone with all the stuff a regular Android phone has. It also has the newest version of Android which is called "Gingerbread" and of course, the Playstation controls! : )

It all depends on if you want a phone with better gaming features or better camera features.

Camera - Choose the "Neo". It has HD movie and 8,1 mpx camera.

Gaming - Choose the "PLAY". It has a big screen (bigger than iPhone to compare) and of course gaming controls.

@YouSuckiPods They say it will ship to Verizon first. But I hear It will be CDMA/GSM capable so you can get the Verizon version unlocked and use it with Tmobile. I did that with the Storm 2 and I am going to do that with the Xperia Play as well.

all i can say is after being an x ericsson fanboy back in the day i decided to go back to them and get the xperia mini 10 pro even this would not get me 2 go back. that phone was the worst planned phone in the history of my phones and ive had some pretty bad ones. plus they dont support their phone what so ever and cant source a battery that lasts more then a day and a half.

SONY needs to work on the content at the PlayStation Store and improve Media Go which is already better than DoubleTwist. This phone may not be the most powerful, but it is the most UNIQUE Android being released this year. I want an NGP this year and will wait for the next XPERIA PLAY. I want the smartphone to match the 960x544 resolution of NGP so when I invest on digital downloads, I can play it on BOTH devices instead of buying the same PSOne classic twice like this one.

@aznvietguy0103 No. Don't get defensive on a game that involves birds and green pigs. But how often do you want to play games like that? Endless puzzle games or whatever. You need the controls and some people don't mind playing a game beyond 5-10 min spurts. Go to Japan and commute on a train for hours. We have fuller, richer games that when you beat it, it feels fulfilling. Not just say congratulations. We want better stories, characters, deeper gameplay, etc. Nothing wrong with that on the go.

The placement of the start, select and menu buttons are superior than the Xperia Play, because they are centered and symmetrical with the rest of the device. I don't know when it would be possible to squeeze NGP hardware into the device so that it could play NGP games, but that would be nice as well.
