These dogs are not worked all the time. When the dog is not in harnes, they get alot of leisure time and play time with the handlers family and other animals. When the dog is not in harness you would never know that it is a Seeing Eye dog. The Seeing Eye is the most compassionate and caring group and the dogs are thought of and cared for constantly. No dog is ever made to work as a guide dog that cannot handle the job. Do your research about The Seeing Eye and visit them before you judge.

I wouldn't trade my Seeing Eye dog for the world. I had the best time at the Seeing Eye and will never go any where else.

But 4 months for guide dog training its a short period. In Europe they are trained for 8 months and we dont use chained strugglers anymore..
