why did you get the concealer patte over the concealer tube? I do videos and I was to get the foundation, concealer, and the finishing powder. I'm getting the concealer because I'm afraide that the foundation wont cover some of the stubburn spots I get on occasion. advice???

@citylights170 hi.. i would say to use a green primer to cancel out the redness (use after moisterizer) and then apply a small amount of smashbox photo finish.. this will help keep your face on and you'll have a really nice canvase to apply your foundation on. you'll love the Makeup Forever foundation if u prepare your face first ;D

I love MUFE but I use the velvet matte. It is expensive but one tiny little blob does my whole face and lasts all day. 16+ hours! I just recently got a sample of the primer and I do like it. I am like you, not sure if I am sold on it yet but definitely think their foundations are worth the $!
@dippikastike you should use a moisturizer under your foundation and if this doesn't work use moisturizer and then a primer. because you used the moisturizer your skin shouldn't get dry when you put on a primer too. try it before you have your prom. ;-) hope that helps :-)
any idea how this compares to the Nars Sheer Glow? The colors don't run neutral enough for my skin color in the Nars even though I love it, but I was recommended the Makeup Forever because of their color range.
@invincible221 I think that the Sheer Glow doesn't cover as well as the HD one. I have oily skin and I love wearing Sheer Glow in the summer because it gives a dewy finish so many people with normal to dry skin like it very much. HD isn't as dewy I think.. Hope that helps :-)

I have sensitive acne skin and like a medium coverage(natural but smooth). Before I used Lamcome foundation but it was a bit too thick feeling for me, and now im trying out the Smashbox HD foundation, which feels great on my skin but it too sheer and it doesn't build enough to cover. Do you think that the MFHD foundation will be good for sesitive acne skin and will it be enough coverage for me? Or do you have another recommendation that I should be trying?

I just bought the HD Foundation, but it seems like the bottom of the pump is kinda leaking. I've seen it happen on other testers in the store... Is it a common fault or is it just my luck? hmm I don't think it's gross, sticky and flakey at all, it's the best foundation I ever used and I love it! it is expensive and I feel you do need quit alot of product, but I'm really happy I bought it! I think for example that the chanel foundation is overhyped and is everything you describe, sticky and gross...but I guess it's very individual and depends on the skin maybe?

I like Sheer Miracle's Extreme CloseUp HD Mineral Finishing Powder as a primer. Its identical to MUFE HD Microfinish Powder but much cheaper. You can get it on Amazon or Sheer Miracle's website.
Its kind of weird how much the foundation is. All their other products are the same price as most other companies but their foundation is expensive! I really want to buy it though. My friend has it & I used it & it looked amazing!
I just bought this foundation yesterday. I'm in 117 and I love it. I put it on today and I use it with the HD powder. I also got a sample of the HD blush. I didn't want to buy that one just yet because alot of reviews are saying its really matte. I too have light skin but I have a bit of splotchy redness and the #5 is AWESOME if you want a a primer that even outs your fair/light skin. I don't mind how the primer makes my feel I care now it makes my skin LOOK w/foundation. My skin looks radiant with the #5. I agree the HD foundation is great but if you have large pores it may settlle in them. I've tried about 6 different primers to help problem but it's just how it's going to look.
OMG!! I LOVE this foundation! It lasted me awhile cuz i only use about 2 pumps a day, so in the end it lasted just about 3 months. I love it, it covers every blemish and ever inferfection with such a light-weight finish! Aaamazing! $40 is way out of my price range but it looks so good on my face that its worth every penny!
I went to my Sephora yesterday and the sales assistant was very helpful in choosing a color for me. I did not want to buy it asap so she gave me a sample of it to take home. Prob a few days worth so I can compare to my Stila one step, which feels heavier that the mufe and makes me more oily. Felt like I had nothing on with mufe!
@CottonInDaCandy Well I basically have the same problem and I would say yes but I use Makeup Forever's color correction foundation primer then use this and it basically makes my skin flawless :) and the good thing for me is it feels like silk on my face and is really light!!!
Just got my HD and I use a stippling brush to apply for the airbrush effect. BUT to save $ you can get the sonia kashuk highlighter brush ($12) from Target, it works just as well as mac 187 ($42)
@mo0nstarr I like to use the 187 rush with my foundation, however I have some problems with the nose area where there are a lot of curves which are problematic for that big brush so I switched to 109 which gives even more airbrushed look!

How do you put on the HD foundation? I was told to use Laura Mercier sponge because it doesn't soak up any foundation. But I kinda hate sponges because just thinking about what bacteria can grow on it. I just don't think sponges washes well. But I went ahead and bought it. Sponge was okay but I like brushes or my fingers better. Also felt the HD foundation wasn't enough coverage. But it really has color match.
i went to sephora friday and was trying out the hd foundation on my hand and trying to find my colour but i just couldn't find one that matched well enough. I'm sure one of them does match but the store was packed with people and the employees that were free told me they couldn't help... weird. i'll be going to a different sephora next time
WOW they told you they couldn't help? I've NEVER had that happen to me at any Sephora- how frustrating! It's their job to do swatches and help you find your perfect shade.
By the way, Sephora has an AMAZING return policy. I returned a highlight color that I bought like 6 months ago, I didn't have the receipt and it was obvious that I had used it.. They gave me a store credit for the exact amount I bought it for. So if they are "too busy", then buy with confidence knowing you can ALWAYS return it.

From what I know, HD is (high definition) make up used by people who take pictures, photo shoot, make vids and all sorts of things. I guess it makes your make up look better?
Matte is a type of finish that has no shimmer its just plain with a soft finish i guess :/

oh my gosh. I bought that and it is AMAZING! First they have like a ton of colors so you can actually find your shade. Secondly I only need one little squirt for my whole face. It stays super light and on all day. Trust me, it is a REALLY GOOD investment. :)

this hd foundation hydrates the skin up to 55% ...the primer hydrated the skin up to 65% and up...it has moisture binding agents that help refine the skins texture ...mineral reflectors that help diffuse the appearance of imperfection.....you really don't need alot of either...and it is the sickest foundation and primer.......the reason why it doesn't give you the soft feeling that the samshbox does is b/c there is no dimethicone in it ....completely sick stuff!

There's primer for the face too. It's meant to make foundation go on more smoothly, make pores seems smaller, make the makeup last longer, and cover up wrinkles a little bit.

OMG!! I LOVE this foundation! It lasted me awhile cuz i only use about 2 pumps a day, so in the end it lasted just about 3 months. I love it, it covers every blemish and ever inferfection with such a light-weight finish! Aaamazing! $40 is way out of my price range but it looks so good on my face that its worth every penny!

I went to my Sephora yesterday and the sales assistant was very helpful in choosing a color for me. I did not want to buy it asap so she gave me a sample of it to take home. Prob a few days worth so I can compare to my Stila one step, which feels heavier that the mufe and makes me more oily. Felt like I had nothing on with mufe!

@CottonInDaCandy Well I basically have the same problem and I would say yes but I use Makeup Forever's color correction foundation primer then use this and it basically makes my skin flawless :) and the good thing for me is it feels like silk on my face and is really light!!!

Just got my HD and I use a stippling brush to apply for the airbrush effect. BUT to save $ you can get the sonia kashuk highlighter brush ($12) from Target, it works just as well as mac 187 ($42)

@mo0nstarr I like to use the 187 rush with my foundation, however I have some problems with the nose area where there are a lot of curves which are problematic for that big brush so I switched to 109 which gives even more airbrushed look!

How do you put on the HD foundation? I was told to use Laura Mercier sponge because it doesn't soak up any foundation. But I kinda hate sponges because just thinking about what bacteria can grow on it. I just don't think sponges washes well. But I went ahead and bought it. Sponge was okay but I like brushes or my fingers better. Also felt the HD foundation wasn't enough coverage. But it really has color match.

i went to sephora friday and was trying out the hd foundation on my hand and trying to find my colour but i just couldn't find one that matched well enough. I'm sure one of them does match but the store was packed with people and the employees that were free told me they couldn't help... weird. i'll be going to a different sephora next time

WOW they told you they couldn't help? I've NEVER had that happen to me at any Sephora- how frustrating! It's their job to do swatches and help you find your perfect shade.

By the way, Sephora has an AMAZING return policy. I returned a highlight color that I bought like 6 months ago, I didn't have the receipt and it was obvious that I had used it.. They gave me a store credit for the exact amount I bought it for. So if they are "too busy", then buy with confidence knowing you can ALWAYS return it.

From what I know, HD is (high definition) make up used by people who take pictures, photo shoot, make vids and all sorts of things. I guess it makes your make up look better?
Matte is a type of finish that has no shimmer its just plain with a soft finish i guess :/

i currently use bare minerals foundation.
i heard it is suppose to mimic skin and gives a flawless look / no makeup lookk.
and last week my friend said your wearing makeup ? cuz you can tell.
i felt bad. will this full coverage foundation look cakey in any way ?

oh my gosh. I bought that and it is AMAZING! First they have like a ton of colors so you can actually find your shade. Secondly I only need one little squirt for my whole face. It stays super light and on all day. Trust me, it is a REALLY GOOD investment. :)

this hd foundation hydrates the skin up to 55% ...the primer hydrated the skin up to 65% and up...it has moisture binding agents that help refine the skins texture ...mineral reflectors that help diffuse the appearance of imperfection.....you really don't need alot of either...and it is the sickest foundation and primer.......the reason why it doesn't give you the soft feeling that the samshbox does is b/c there is no dimethicone in it ....completely sick stuff!

There's primer for the face too. It's meant to make foundation go on more smoothly, make pores seems smaller, make the makeup last longer, and cover up wrinkles a little bit.

You can go without a primer or a powder finisher when using HD. It's made to set like a powder.

My favorite product since jumpstreet ha. seriously full coverage does not = tooooo much makeup with this foundation. tis looks sooo natural and is very light. obviously the person under me hasnt tried it.. dont judge a book by it cover! HD FOREVEEEERRR
