I mean, after all, she's SUPPOSED to look like a California girl with piercing grey eyes and really pretty, which Alexandra Doddario is, but I think she should act tougher than she did in the Lightning Thief. Plus, Annabeth is supposed to be SUPER talented in everything and SUPER popular with the boys in the camp, which they should have stressed a little more, as well as her and Luke's relationship. Okay, I'm rambling now, so I'll just shut up. :-)

But the author made a new book series and it has the excact same idea of the percy jackson book, it continues the prophecy :) Its called "the last hero". The book has new characters and old characters. Percy jackson is mentioned in the book, also annabeth. Some others too. So yes it is the next book i guess

I don't think it would have been exciting to see 12 year olds do sword fighting in camp. It will just look like they're playing. I think making them older was a good choice. Also, I think Annabeth being a brunette also fits, if she was a blonde in the movie, she would have looked like a daughter of Aphrodite since Alexandra is too beautiful. Anyways I love the casting! The movie was also great!

I am a big fan of the books and I ADORED this movie! Sure, it wasn't EXACTLY like the book, but that's fine! at the very beginning, the credits said an ADAPTATION, not an exact replica, of the book. This means that some things are going to be different. I think the casting was pretty good. Logan Lerman was pretty much perfect. When he was on screen, I felt like HE WAS Percy. As for the rest, they did a great job as well! I really love Chris Columbus and I think he did a great job with the movie!

I think if you're a fan of the book, the movie will almost never meet your expections. (Twilight, Harry Potter etc.) But I also think that if the movie series go on it also gets better (New Moon, Rest of Harry Potter films etc.). I'm just glad I didn't read too much of the book before seeing the movie, because I LOVED IT!!

No, how about directors and writers who take on the responability of making a book to move adaptation pay closer attention to the book?

If you create a movie based on a book its biggest audience will be the readers of the book, obviously, so the best thing to do would make the film for that audience.

Otherwise if they are just going to make a film "similar" to the book or a "revision" why not just create their own story? Oh yeah, because there is no such thing as original in Hollywood.

Percy and Luke did fight a little in the book but there wasn't much contact ( it was mostly a verbal argument) and Percy was the one who lost the fight because he go bitten by a poison scorpion?( I think?) I'm not sure what that type of bug it was.

No, Percy's white in the book; he has green eyes. Only his hair is black. Actually Grover was originally supposed to be white too, but in the movie he is black, which I thought was an interesting change. Annabeth was supposed to be blonde, but here she's brunette, which has really caused a lot of controversy around here, though I'm not bothered by it. :-)
