  • i really want this instrumental any ideas

  • @vandle3000 you can get a program that will remove the vocals or rewrite it on fruity loops

  • I heard this song at the end of Lethal Weapon 4 when I was little and I've been looking for it for years now! Never knew it was an Eric Clapton song.

  • I love Eric!!! <3

  • This is so weird... Beautiful song with soul has only 245000 views, when shitty songs (Black, Bieber etc) has about 30 000 000 (each one song)...

  • @tron012 you racist dick fuck you about black people!

i like eric clapton aswell but dont bring race into this you silly prick

  • @tron012

okayy sorry for the rude remarks, i take it all back

  • looooooove this song

  • Wish we still had artists like this coming out.

  • God bless Mr. Clapton...he is humble and one heck of a master guitarist and lyricist!

  • Damn, Eric Clapton tries his hand at hip-hop, and he even gets that right! Is there nothing this man can't do? Thanks for posting this groove, I love it! (O:

  • My all time favorite guitarist.

  • this is a song from the heart

  • This song hurts

  • A brilliant song by a brilliant artist. "Pilgrim" is my favorite of Eric Clapton's CD's--it's edgy, soul-searching and threads each song together with an artistry only Mr. Clapton could achieve. This man matches his extraordinary guitar work with incredible lyrics and vocals. Pure genius--there's just no other way to put it!!

  • GOOD MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE!!!!! AND LAST FOREVER

  • I brought myself here because I grew up listening to this.

  • this was the PERFECT song for the end of the Lethal Weapon 4 series movie end credits

  • This one has the style of the end of the 90's.

  • I think Clapton is on a skip --over and over -He should hit some real new licks that only he could do..

  • Too many repeat of guitar ta-da-da.

  • When he's in the taxi I can swear it's Gordon Freeman! He really must be a huge H-L fan ;)

  • @veonescugh Or! Valve company members are huge fans of Eric Clapton so they made Freeman look like Eric :)

  • @Muro666 Right! They should be, anyway! ;)

  • I've had this song on every phone I've had with music playing capacities, From Lethal Weapon 4 end titles where I first heard on the cinemas' sound system. Cant wait for obligatory guitar solo because this one I can feel. Classic

  • a very good guitarsolo

  • A true rock legend..............Clapton is so versatile...

  • Merita più voti!!!!!!

  • Eric Clapton is the man

  • This song is beautiful and yours comments too..this make me feel good..

  • This played on the closing credits of Lethal Weapon 4. Sounded absolutely smooth coming out of my home theatre speakers..

  • @eujeeves That's how I discoverered this song, the 90's man, I miss it... and then some.

  • I don't understand those six dislikes????????????'

  • @nerrmiinn Ya don't have to, they're a-mucisians!

  • I am appalled of the fact that this video doesn't have 123232187329187298 views. Period.

  • This song really makes me to think-to think how life goes by if you don't do anything about it!To sing 6 minutes so beautifully is a gift, not a talent, and I give a respect to the man! When a song goes so deep into your heart-it means something, something really precious. This song makes me feel undescribeful and it's such an amazing feeling.Quality in music comes with amazing musicians such as mr.Clapton.Respect!!

  • nice

  • The guy could probably ROCK, ROLL, and sing the BLUES well into his 90's.

A Superb Song - stuff of Legend!

EC --- Keep on rockin' buddy; the world is in desperate need of REAL Music. ... Are you listening Bieber, how about you Ms. Gaga?!!

  • @KOSMICKEN09 very true

  • ce soir, j'ai vu leathal weapon 4 aussi,

  • it's a masterpiece and a very sad song dedicated to his son, Conor, who died in '91.

  • PURE GENIUS.....THIS SONG, YOU CAN FEEL IT DEEP!

  • pilgrim is a ode, a anthem love, Eric Clapton is God.

  • You just do not get better than this. Eric Clapton just grows and grows with each song. This CD is a pure lesson of reaching into your soul and giving back the heartache and strength that lives in each of us. Just one more reason why I love his music and his heart!

  • Heard this at the end of Lethal Weapon and thought this guy is channelling Curtis Mayfield. I love this and and cant wait for the guitar solo everytime

  • thumbs down if you have heard better solo than the 4.30-5.53

  • Eric Clapton looks like Gordon Freeman

  • @JokermanUno wow, youre damn right O_O !!

  • We've started a youtube channel to get real music back. Our plan is to gain subscribers, and have bands sending us demos. We'll feature the best songs on our channel, so people can stay updated on new bands.....this tried to be done before with another youtube page getmusicbacktv but they were very biased and ultimately the movement failed. this time we will accept from all genres in order to get new bands signed

we except everything thats music...not mud

spread the word to make this possible!!

  • would someone please take their foot off of his nutsack this man can rock and should rock it , its a touchin song but kick it dont step on it

I am an Eric Clapton fan too I have so respect for the man and his music.

  • @reid9950 Your not dumb just can't be exposed to every song out there. But this song was also used on the Lethal Weapon 4 Soundtrack as well.

  • Classic Chicago Steppers Cut!!!

  • Eric Clapton is the Man , is the king, is the Guitar's father, the best there is, The Legend......the Sir!

  • one of my favorite EVER of clapton's. soulful, heartfelt . . . magic

  • Eric Clapton is the MAN! Whoever puts him down can suck it! He ROCKS! SO LET IT BE WRITTEN SO LET IT BE DONE!

  • the blues played in the album Pilgrim is outstanding i love that album so far one of my favourites.

  • 2 dumb asses that hates this song!

  • @SuperLC1010 its unfortunate but damn near true the closest thing we can get to this now is John mayer, but there are lots of these bands and artists out there its just that this is no longer the mainstream and thus harder find because of todays music.

Keep searching and dont let real music die people.

  • Eric said this song was a homage to Curtis Mayfield. Damn no wonder I cry every time I hears this song especially the solo at the end......

  • hey cmon ! he may look like gordon but clapton is still a guitar god!

  • Thumbs up if you think Eric Clapton looks like Gordon Freeman from Half-Life!!!

  • @Deader87 and @neosocrates

LoL! You are morons but ok, rather Morgan Freeman looks like Eric Clapton...

    Great song! :)

  • Fak! He is Dr. Gordon Freeman from Half Life lol

  • ARMA MORTAL 4!! BUENA CANCION!!

  • lethal weapon

  • forgive me i mistakenly hit thumbs down

  • @pinkfloydian1957 curse you

  • no perdera su estilo en el rock y los blues...

  • I don't care what anyone says, Pilgrim is a phenomenal album! I was 13 when it came out and just picking up a guitar, I've been a HUGE fan ever since. That album is pure heart and Clapton's best.

  • @ddesa123 I was 11 when this album came out - it was a huge inspiration to me - I learned how to sing soulful from E.C. and this album. Pilgrim was my anthem for so long. :D

  • @ddesa123 I fully agree with you. Pilgrim is my absolute favorite Clapton album.

  • Anyone else feels that his face looks EXACTLY like late Gordon Freeman's , in HL2? Freaky... Anyways, EC is a special "case" like Sting, Paco de Lucia, Bono and a (sadly...) only a few others.. Not just a blues icon, but an universal artist. We're so incredible lucky to live in his timeline... Kudos to Mr Slowhand. Words are poor to express his gifts for us all. But I guess that's why we have this kind of music - to remind us all that there are things beyond words and explanations.

  • @cortes77

You got point, but I think it's the contrary - Gordon Freeman from HL2 looks exactly like E.C.

And I agree with everything you wrote afterwards.

  • I'm speechless...this is like the greatest song ever...did Clapton write the lyrics or did someone else write it for him??...the lyrics are amazing...every word of them, it's like they're talking to me, or about me...I know the feeling exactly as the words are stated if I could write a song it would be this one....and yes I first heard this after watching Lethal Weapon IV, it's during the credits and so I had to look the song up...it's odd cos the singing doesn't sound exactly like Clapton...

  • MY FAVORITE ERIC CLAPTON JAM!! THIS IS SO SOULFUL AND GORGEOUS!

  • Con un genio como Clapton, los años pasan y el talento se matiene.

    Alabado sea Clapton.

  • @udarion Complentamente d'acuerdo contigo udarion. En frances, decimos que : "Les modes ses succèdent, mais la classe reste".

  • curtis mayfield feel but unmistakeably clapton - well done

  • Glad to know this song exists!

  • I love Clapton. but i dont like the hip-hop beat. Awesome lyrics though

  • Love This!!!!

  • Pilgrim is one of the most underated albums ever and Eric's personal favorite, which is no suprise as he pours his very soul into every track...can bring a tear to your eye it's so hauntingly sad yet beautiful

  • @thelostpizza Hear, hear! his tone, playing and style was so fresh and cool with the whole album... too bad he never got to explore this direction any further...

  • Phenomenal song

  • Been searching for this song for so long! :) Love it!

  • I just bought tickets to see him next May !!! :)

  • К концу клипа надоело это пип пип.

  • i had a dreem

  • ERIC CLAPTON IS GOD!!!

  • Thank you Eric for all you have given us you are truely an amazing artist.

  • Clapton Rules definately a great musician and i cant help being pulled into this track probably because its so real and not bubble gummy dribble i just cant believe ive only heard it now.

  • This song's sick

  • Classic Clapton track, first heard in Lethal Weapon 4, which was kinda the farewell between LW & Clapton, who most of the soundtrack in the movies. Great lyrics, great track, Clapton is so awesome, I don't think there is a such thing as a "Bad Eric Clapton song", LOL!

  • Is this an original Clapton song? It sounds so spiritual. Like Clapton is saying that he just realized he was a pilgrim for His Love and HIs Love was wasted all these years.

"Now where have I been all these years? And how come I just could not see? Like a blind man walking around in darkness, I was a pilgrim for Your Love"

  • @arviperez A keen observation my friend... It was around this time that Mr. Clapton got involved in spiritual matters...coinciding of course with the end of his drinking...

  • This album, by the same name, is amazing! I became a fan from it. <3

  • This is haunting me.

  • moves my soul deep really deep. my gratitude for uploading this song.

  • Inexplicably slipped under the radar this one and hardly registered, but what a blinding track – loved this guy’s music for decades but this remains my favourite – just so simple and magical and when it’s all getting too much to bear I’ll always reach for this track - it never fails to sooth and heal and I’ll never tire of hearing it – so glad others rate it so highly as well, thought it was just me – thanks for posting.

  • I've always dug Clapton, since I was a kid. None of his songs really successfully reached into me without my permission. Until this one.

  • Gorillaz in a Mist?

Subject: Eric Clapton - No "Blur"

    Anagram: Republican Control

  • the most saddest and thrillest song by King Clapton

  • Molly - still a Pilgrim for your love.

    Subject: elitist pummel

    Anagram: Multiple times

  • Well people, unfortunately music in today's era is Justin Bieber, and Auto Tuned Lady Gaga with one line of lyrics repeated and repeated over again. A fair well to decent, easy listening music =/

  • @SuperLC1010 absolutely true

  • @SuperLC1010 Well, at least we have Phoenix who is very good and makes a great listen along with the classics

  • Gaah, I love this song so much

  • GORDAN FREEMAN!!!

  • @fLuRoSlOtH LAUWL!!!! EXACT!!!!!!! ^.^

  • @fLuRoSlOtH LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of those songs you never get sick of.

  • There aren't even words for this song. It's so therapeutic to my ears.

  • @Deeber65. Thank god for that. otherwise we'd be all sitting through 20min leadbrakes, full of the same ol stuff. much prefer old, slow flowing bluesy stuff. thats were clapton shines. not the same thing over and over for 15mins. looks good but absolutely shite

  • This song helped me through th loss of my father, as did the cd... incredible cd... @4:32, love the explosion in the guitar solo.

  • @ruffbong I listened to this a lot in late 2001, when I was depressed by the 9/11 attacks

  • This song makes me remember: 1, 2 and 3 or 1, 2, 3 then go??? XDDD

  • Great song! I havent lisented it for years, reminds me of a dark voyage through life...

  • @adrianmad1981 Oh my gosh me too bro

  • Did I ever mention Eric Clapton looks a little like Gordon freeman from Half-Life

  • @Deader87 Yes, He had a really cool look in 98' Now he has let his hair grow back out like it was in the 80s but now its all grey. Oh well still my favorite guitarist

  • @KungFuKid1015 Hey, physical-appearance doesn't matter because that wil not change the fact that he's a great guitarist

  • @Deader87 Oh I know. I am looking forward to hearing his new albumn although I understand its all cover tunes of old music and stuff. I wish he would do more songs like he did in Journeyman though. That was his best music. Bad Love, Pretending, Forever Man, Its in the way that you use it, Miss You, Run, So many from the mid-late 80s. He was at his prime then.

  • @KungFuKid1015 Yeah I am just an 80s buff, that's probably why I would like Journey-Man

  • I fell asleep at the end of Lethal Weapon 4 and woke up too this song!

  • @00000Dirtyasian00000 I thought I was the only one. Made me sit up.

  • Music is not like this anymore, it's all that dance autotune mixed up bullshit with no meaning.
