Damn, Eric Clapton tries his hand at hip-hop, and he even gets that right! Is there nothing this man can't do? Thanks for posting this groove, I love it! (O:
A brilliant song by a brilliant artist. "Pilgrim" is my favorite of Eric Clapton's CD's--it's edgy, soul-searching and threads each song together with an artistry only Mr. Clapton could achieve. This man matches his extraordinary guitar work with incredible lyrics and vocals. Pure genius--there's just no other way to put it!!
I've had this song on every phone I've had with music playing capacities, From Lethal Weapon 4 end titles where I first heard on the cinemas' sound system. Cant wait for obligatory guitar solo because this one I can feel. Classic
This song really makes me to think-to think how life goes by if you don't do anything about it!To sing 6 minutes so beautifully is a gift, not a talent, and I give a respect to the man! When a song goes so deep into your heart-it means something, something really precious. This song makes me feel undescribeful and it's such an amazing feeling.Quality in music comes with amazing musicians such as mr.Clapton.Respect!!

I don't care what anyone says, Pilgrim is a phenomenal album! I was 13 when it came out and just picking up a guitar, I've been a HUGE fan ever since. That album is pure heart and Clapton's best.
@ddesa123 I was 11 when this album came out - it was a huge inspiration to me - I learned how to sing soulful from E.C. and this album. Pilgrim was my anthem for so long. :D
Anyone else feels that his face looks EXACTLY like late Gordon Freeman's , in HL2? Freaky... Anyways, EC is a special "case" like Sting, Paco de Lucia, Bono and a (sadly...) only a few others.. Not just a blues icon, but an universal artist. We're so incredible lucky to live in his timeline... Kudos to Mr Slowhand. Words are poor to express his gifts for us all. But I guess that's why we have this kind of music - to remind us all that there are things beyond words and explanations.

I'm speechless...this is like the greatest song ever...did Clapton write the lyrics or did someone else write it for him??...the lyrics are amazing...every word of them, it's like they're talking to me, or about me...I know the feeling exactly as the words are stated if I could write a song it would be this one....and yes I first heard this after watching Lethal Weapon IV, it's during the credits and so I had to look the song up...it's odd cos the singing doesn't sound exactly like Clapton...
Pilgrim is one of the most underated albums ever and Eric's personal favorite, which is no suprise as he pours his very soul into every track...can bring a tear to your eye it's so hauntingly sad yet beautiful
@thelostpizza Hear, hear! his tone, playing and style was so fresh and cool with the whole album... too bad he never got to explore this direction any further...
Clapton Rules definately a great musician and i cant help being pulled into this track probably because its so real and not bubble gummy dribble i just cant believe ive only heard it now.
Classic Clapton track, first heard in Lethal Weapon 4, which was kinda the farewell between LW & Clapton, who most of the soundtrack in the movies. Great lyrics, great track, Clapton is so awesome, I don't think there is a such thing as a "Bad Eric Clapton song", LOL!
Is this an original Clapton song? It sounds so spiritual. Like Clapton is saying that he just realized he was a pilgrim for His Love and HIs Love was wasted all these years.
"Now where have I been all these years? And how come I just could not see? Like a blind man walking around in darkness, I was a pilgrim for Your Love"
@arviperez A keen observation my friend... It was around this time that Mr. Clapton got involved in spiritual matters...coinciding of course with the end of his drinking...
Inexplicably slipped under the radar this one and hardly registered, but what a blinding track – loved this guy’s music for decades but this remains my favourite – just so simple and magical and when it’s all getting too much to bear I’ll always reach for this track - it never fails to sooth and heal and I’ll never tire of hearing it – so glad others rate it so highly as well, thought it was just me – thanks for posting.
Well people, unfortunately music in today's era is Justin Bieber, and Auto Tuned Lady Gaga with one line of lyrics repeated and repeated over again. A fair well to decent, easy listening music =/
@Deeber65. Thank god for that. otherwise we'd be all sitting through 20min leadbrakes, full of the same ol stuff. much prefer old, slow flowing bluesy stuff. thats were clapton shines. not the same thing over and over for 15mins. looks good but absolutely shite

@Deader87 Oh I know. I am looking forward to hearing his new albumn although I understand its all cover tunes of old music and stuff. I wish he would do more songs like he did in Journeyman though. That was his best music. Bad Love, Pretending, Forever Man, Its in the way that you use it, Miss You, Run, So many from the mid-late 80s. He was at his prime then.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song. I want to hug and kiss him for being so gifted and making such beautiful music for us to listen to!!!

@KungFuKid1015 Yeah I am just an 80s buff, that's probably why I would like Journey-Man

Music is not like this anymore, it's all that dance autotune mixed up bullshit with no meaning.
