Hey man awesome video/tutorial i got only one question though..i'm trying to record a game..it records my screen just fine but when i open the game the recorded screen turns black...it records all the sounds but not the picture. (the game is League Of Legends), can i fix this or am i doing anything wrong? Pls reply back =/

@TheEditorZZK Does the game go full screen when you open it? Because i think this programme might not be able to record it then, i have had this problem with similar software. I would recommend turning off full screen mode, which will probs be in the game settings somewhere (I don't play LoL so idk)

if u really want to know how to know how to publish it to youtube al u do is once recorded a video send it to encoder then go to video and click on CBR-1 pass then once u have done that encode it. then once done go to my documents-expression-output-th­en ur video. Then click on the folder that ur video is in and then minimize that then go to youtube and click on upload then open ur video back up and drag the video (NOT THE FOLDER but the video) then it will start uploading If DoneCorrect willWORK

@Snockooz yes you can select your web cam in the Screen Capture settings menu and it will be placed in the same folder as the screen capture, but as a .wmv file (the screen capture is in an Expression exclusive format) only draw back (which i haven't tried to work around) is that the audio is capture in the screen capture file and not the webcam....so the cam will be just video......i guess you could just make it a full sized overlay and degrade the screen capture video to save space....

@ZxPaRaNoiDxZ I'm not sure off the top of my head, try looking in the help section of the program. If it doesn't work, you could always record yourself with your webcam and edit in the overlay afterwards.

I got it working : I downloaded microsoft expression and when it installed a screen poped up saying microsoft expression "requires .NET framework 4". After . NET framework installed I downloaded microsoft expression again and it works now. Thanks for all help.

@NothingAtAllXD No. it's completely legal, it's run by Microsoft. You just have to be a student - it's basically a programme where you get free software if you're a student

@Whisperingonthewind You can only record at your monitor resolution, so if it is a widescreen resolution then you don't have to do anything, but if your resolution isn't widescreen, then go to video options underneath the encode tab and you can change the aspect ratio settings there

This encoder is total bullshit. Ive had problems with the program since ive downloaded it and i tried usuing it one more time and i do everything you say..then encode it..it takes about 5 minutes and then once it was done encoding..nothing happened??

@YesScopes Like I said, the encoded files are saved in my documents --> expression --> expression encoder --> output. Once it finishes encoding, it's not supposed to do anything.

@EliaZGmod Expression encoder isn't great for recording games, because the frame rate is often laggy from my experience, but you can test it out yourself if you want. However, Fraps is THE best game recording software that I know of, and is completely lag free and excellent quality if your PC is fast enough. It's not free, but you should check that out for recording games :)

@TheTutSpot thanks man ! :D i tryed it, and WOW, best ever i think, good quality, sounds great, only thing that was a litle tricky, was to get my fps working with the game. i noticed that because, when i had to low framerate i spiked in the game, (Enoying) bbur i figured out my framerate! :D

@MCTinyTurtle First of all, you need your monitor resolution to be HD. Secondly, check under encoding options to see if any of the options are set to something that will mean it won't be encoded in HD. Message me if you need more help

@MrHeltzen Yes, go onto the settings on the recording interface, and set a keyboard shortcut to zoom in. Up arrow is a good one. It will zoom in when you press it, and zoom out when you press it again.
