  • jay z is a blackie

  • @SavedHealed what's a 'blackie' ??

  • LL Cool J once said that in his younger career as he was rappin' his style, he had lots of enemies and haters in the late 80's cause of his hard dissing lyrics and said that if had continued that way he would've been shot and killed like 2pac... so in the early 90's he changed and went soft...

  • @LALOMAN18 wtf you talkin about? i shot ya was soft? the album mr. smith in general? cmon! g.o.a.t. was hard! and so was mama said knock you out which came out in the early 90s! 13 shots to the dome had some serious bangers also.

  • @LALOMAN18 Lol. Yup.

  • what da fuck waar was dit dan

  • Thisis some vintage stuff here, if I were to watch this back then, it would have blew my mind!

  • Where's the whole documenatry?

  • @djrestless Other parts are in my account

  • heb je alles upgeload van de hele documentaire? ik had deze vroeger ook op video, thank you!!!!!!!!!@atomkraftteddy

  • @djrestless The documentary is called "Big Fun in the Big Town" and the full version can be found on Google Video.

  • Dope!!! LL was right, rappers now a days are the top and even the ladies are climbing up.

  • True Classic True School Interview. This is Young LL new to the industry passionate about HIp Hop, Hyped off of getting his start. Yes He was very cocky, confident and innovative. He's watching his back so the haters can't creep up on him and try to hurt or rob him. Yes that is the Ghetto of Queens New York.. All Ghettos look different. Notice how L Big's up the Female Emcee's and says they' re on the come up. He also makes reference to Hip Hop Getting BIGGER and BiGGER! This was quite Prophetic

  • I remember LL in those days. When he came to my hometown he rolled up @ WRFG to promo the show he was doing. We were all waiting outside the radio station until this red Cadilac limo rolls up, and LL gets out of the back with a red Kango on, a black T-Shirt, and some blue Lee Jeans, walking just like he did in this video. That was the only time I ever saw him.

  • the plastic on the couch lmfao

  • Fantastic.

  • MAMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT !!!!!!!!!!!

  • o_O that aint no ghetto

  • hes watching his back like crazy ....bobcat use to have his back like crazy.

  • @dedserious93 Yeah, I noticed that too.

  • Marcel Vanthilt on MTV that is OLD !!! LOL

  • LL is smart as hell, you can see his childish side here, but the kid here is no dummy despite the way he's acting and speaking.

  • he was whack before 1990

  • @Levazoid

he went wack after 1990 dumb kid

  • @Levazoid Not really... For the time I came out he was cutting edge with his music... But when the 90s hit the music started changing so he changed with it.

  • @Levazoid His best cutz were dropped in the 80's...he turned wack after 90's

  • I wonder what LL thinks about when he looks back at these vids

  • that foo dissin on ghetto living type joints ....not cool ..only if he knew ten years later he aint shit anymore

  • ll my nigga he grew up i like dat cocky youthful swag

  • Why does dude with LL remind me of Charlie Murphy. Check out 1:15. For real he looked and sounded like he wanted to get violent when dude asked LL that question. I love Old school!

  • ll got a point but

i'd still pay to see Ice Cube

  • I'm from Queens, I wonder what part this is in.

  • is this all reacted? was tat LLs real home?

  • 2 ill

  • Notice how consistent "L" has been...always been on the positive tip!

  • That ain't Eazy E

  • 1:58 his flow is amazing!!! he need to come back ouuuuuuuuuuuuuut even if he is earlie forties!

  • this is from the album Bigger and Deffer the song is "Ahh, Let's Get Ill"

  • lol he mentions Eazy-E

  • well i'm from the south ,WHITE south and i going to school remember me the only one jammin that radio tape at the time, and now 35 i'm still the only white i know and any blacks for that matter still bump this Radio album like it came out yesterday

  • Interesting. This well explains why LL fell hard through the "positivity" era of hip hop. Also why he barely drops any sad songs.

  • did uall here how he broke down ll

  • LL's Grandmother Ms. Griffin is not from Barbados she is originally from North Carolina. LL's Grandfather was in Barbados as a child. Man that is my old neighborhood St. albans Queens Ilion Avenue and Dunkirk. WOW Memories!!!!

  • thats right represent nyc for life!!!

  • LL was and is hot

  • LL is icon!!!

  • This is basically long Island i live 12 min away & this is a damn Island...It's the burbs..It's "QUEENS" But it's really Long Island look at it on google earth!

  • LADIES LOVE COOL JAMES*

  • LL i luv u ! (:

  • This is one of the best videos ever. The dutch guys wonkiness in greeting versus LL's impossible fluidity. It is a scene of pure sunshine and positivity in the urban landscape like LL literally used. We can see how LL inspired Jay Z here. He was a prophet about hip hop rising. Most of all, he had love for the culture and for women, and the skills to put it into practice that really means the GOAT tag is actually meaningful, theres no better way to express it.

  • That's no Urban lanscape that LL is in it's Long Island NY look at the trees fool...

  • actually he's belgian

  • This is deep what you said. I agree with ya. Peeps need to know this cat is so so ahead of time and creative.

  • lol oh man....LL YOU ARE THE MAN, at such a young age you were speaking the TRUTH...and the flow, ha...that was on the top of your head or that is just how deep your mind is in hip hop at 16...ha an i could listen to you talk all day and just laugh haha! GREAT STUFF

  • LL = living legend !

  • Jayz ain't got shit on LL

  • wow, he was about 18 years old

  • lol dutch subtitlesxD

  • LL was wilin out in them days. He'd probably laugh at his self when he see's this

  • his last comment was wrong

  • I agree

  • HAHAHHA.fukin LL I loved how he just went into freestyle w/o even u knowing it.1 of the 1st rappers to really sing about the ladies like 50 cent does an bitch about others doin it then he does it himself.thats wat u call a bitch nigga.

  • this 86? that old

  • Hey! What ever happened to E-love?

  • Now you know what LL means...

  • mack!

  • Cool!

  • Woah, thats surreal

  • ll is the boss^^

  • thats true though

who does wanna hear about how bad life is

  • R.I.P. LL's Grand Ma.

  • @jdominod1 when did she die? n how?

  • @jdominod1 Mama told him knock 'em out... I love how she encouraged his rap career... a lot of older folks looked at rap/hip-hop as garbage, but not his grandmom!!! God Bless Her Soul!!!!

  • Female rappers, Lol

  • what year was this? i see the "radio" album on the table but in CD form and LL looks like hes in the "BAD" era from 1988..

  • 1986

  • LL was rite bout how the rap game will explode but rite now its hit a nose dive we need ppl like meth, redman, ll, dmx n a few othas 2 get new albums out ere.

  • dang my nigga ll cool j is da goat look how young he was ,I was only one whrn this came out, long time ago big props ...

  • DAAAM! where did u get that? datz some rare shit

  • I videotaped it in 1986 here in the Netherlands. It's part of a documentary about the hiphop movement those days. It's made by the VPRO. The interviewer Marcel Vanthilt is from Belgium.

  • show the yo mtv rap speaking to him when he had the all white benz top cut off before they had drop top benzs

  • LISTEN TO COOL J LISTEN AT AGE 18
