First off, I did thoroughly enjoy the video. The camera work was superb. The only critique I would offer is audio. I'm working on a few ideas myself, trying to pick up tips along the way, and I would say the #1 area all of us up and comers need to work on is audio. You could almost shoot a feature length film with a 10 year old handy cam and poor dialogue and people would still sit through it if it had quality sound. But put audio in Avatar and even it wouldn't sell

@profyucub I definitely hear you (no pun intended XD). though I would like to add as a possibility that you could just be like me. one of those people who love sound (music, anything really). what comes with that is that one pays more attention to it thus one becomes more adept at hearing the finer nuances and amplifying any poor quality sounds so that we can tell the difference between 192 kbps and 128 kbps, where most ppl cant even tell when an audio track is poor unless it's like 56kbps lol

@profyucub plus I also wanted to mention that the audio quality could've been fine... before they uploaded it to youtube. the compression usually tanks audio/video qualities in favour of better buffering rates for slower internet connections. I usually avoid listening to music on youtube unless I have to or I just want to sample an artist/don't have any of their music yet/while it's downloading.

If this were a tv series, people would describe it as a story told from a "standpoint of realism"...as far as the filming and acting goes. For a series made by regular people, who don't do this sort of thing for a living, this is beyond amazingly good.

All good points, but I'm finding that there are quite a few very well done web series out there. If any fall below par it doesn't seem to be because of the look, or technical aspects it seems to be due to acting, or just poor writing. Acting just takes work, but the writing I think stems from a generation that didn't watch a lot of "great" movies, but videos, and stuff made by ppl who didn't watch a lot of the classics.

Very interesting.. I'll have to keep an eye on this. I must agree with gurnles though: the acting isn't great. In fact, I feel like the man who dies in the first 2 minutes is a better actor than the one who lives. Oh, well. It is free, and, from the little I've seen, the writing isn't bad. The music, though, is what sticks out in my mind. It is absolutely excellent.
