That is definitely not an HK because HK's are short stroke gas piston operated and you can clearly see the little ass gas tube for the direct gas impingement system trough the handgaurd! And is definitely a 5.56 because they don't make 30 round mags for AR's chamber in 7.62 NATO. More proof is, check the recoil, if that were a 7.62 it would have a little more jump not to mention a completely different sound. I sell guns for a living, I wouldn't lie to you.

By definition wouldn't he be considered a Designated Marksman and not an actual trained sniper? A DM is a moderately equipped infantry man who is operating to take out insurgents from about 350 to 600 yards accurately with high optics on a heavy barreled M16 using match grade ammo or similar. So though an excellent marksman he is not actually sniper quallified.

I myself would prefer a remington 700 in a .305 or 7 mm caliber with a nice 10x scope. They are firing pretty rapidly but you could engage them with greater effect at a lot longer range then with 5.56 round.
