  • Why was this Christine not used in the actual film? She's the right age and a good actress. She deserved it.

  • oh. my. gosh. what. the. hell?

  • I got the movie Angel of Music off of Amazon 2 words to describe it Plot Twist !

  • he looks like Raoul trying to be Erik.

  • tears water works everything this vidio gave me from pitty

  • I laughed at this hard, sorry but its just so funny! XD

  • i actually think the acting was pretty bad..not very professional and really staged

  • I had to pause the vid because i couldn't stop laughing at the horrible mask!! it looks so small on his face and lopsided lols i could find a better mask online then this $3 mask LMFAOOOOOOOO

  • *face palms, trying not to gag*

  • I loved the camera angles once Erik's mask was removed! Not being able to see the deformity allowed the viewer to imagine what it could look like

  • You need a full mask. A FULL MASK!!! Or else it's ALW's POTO, not Leroux's.

  • What a shitty mask! lol!

  • you quyas are such god actors & actress =]

  • people please remember that they are basing it on the gaston leroux version so it is baisically the original story line but i agree with the mask it needs to b more horrifying though using the lloyd webber version mask also add a bit of morderness to it so it keeps a bit of both worlds well done i am impressed anyway great acting :D

  • Wow. The preview was cool, but 20 seconds into this and I already think that this sucks. If this is in the movie, or a scene anywhere near similar mask-wise, I just won't see it.

  • OH god..what have they DONE TO IT?!?!

*Breaks down into tears by the sheer dreadfulness of this clip*

  • lmao at 3:40 he looks dememted XD

  • be fair i thought it was quite good XD well done

  • I wouldn't say the acting is terrible . . . it would have helped if you didn't use the ALW Phantom mask. And I think Erik needs a better voice and more presence. Raoul seems a little too forceful. He appears angry at her for about 90% of the time, and suddenly he changes to remorse at the end. There should be more ups and downs, him swinging between being angry and being concerned. Okay, that's enough critiquing on my part.

  • @AngedeMystere MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!! erik's voice needs more mystery to it.

  • that is the fuckin ugliest mask ever. it makes me laugh, how can you take his seriously.

  • Bah! Ignore the comments below! Considering this is just a screen test, I like it! ;P Oh gosh, I cannot WAIT to see this! :D Kudos!

  • Bloody awful!

  • The mask is all wierd

  • This is awful! The only thing good about it is the score. The acting is dreadful, and the story doesn't follow...like...at all...I'm sorry but....I adore the Phantom of the Opera, in every incarnation, but this? The concept is fantastic, but...I can't even describe how terrible this will be. Woosley needed to not listen to his girlfriend and stick with the original idea. Then maybe....MAYBE it would be....decent.

  • nice try but this is pretty pathetic.

    sorry,

    christine is beautiful. very pretty!!!

  • Absolutely dreadfull.

  • I'm sorry the acting is horrendous... And who wrote the lines? It's pretty pathetic to listen to.

Also, I suggest that you get something to stabilize the camera?

  • The nose on his mask was EXTREMELY crooked.

  • that has to be the worst acting ever

  • even though if there was a lerox phantom i would totally go see it!

  • i doubt that was a screen test...

  • Please read the description. This was a screen test, not a costume test.

  • is that a mask, or a sticker?

    they NEED better actors!

  • Aaaah, most you guys are being much too hard. After all, this is merely a screen test - not an actual production/movie! Be a little more respectful, a little less harsh, and if you want to share your ideas on how to make this film better - then go for it. (Like I said though, just be a little more respectful.)

lighthouseltdpicture - good job! Keep working at it! (Good to see someone *finally* trying to produce a Leroux version!)

  • holy shit. this is NOT Leroux!

in some ways, yes, but Erik /refused/ to let her hear Don Juan Triumphant.

the actress is obviously untrained. by the way, this is 1880 something! women were basically covered from neck to ankles (depending on the fashion).

i understand christine is about 16, but this girl is undesirable to play this role. id rather have a 25 year old who is experienced than a child who cant fit her character. she doesnt even wear a brunette wig!

    twas a splendid idea.

  • ... Because the Leroux Christine has blonde hair.

  • ^ yup.. ..

  • dammit... i never knew that.

    wtffffff! =(

i need to reread phantom! XD WTF

  • Um... yikes?

Shall I go out on a limb here and assume these actors are complete novices?

    That was PAINFUL

  • it's Erik with a K not a C!

  • I definitely see an improvement from this piece to the new trailer. Not bad, though. Everyone grows in time.

  • fuck! that was horrible!

  • Greetings Lighthousepictures just wanted to tell you I've seen your screentests for your upcoming Angel of Music production very creative bravo

    PhantomsOperaMuze123

  • Yeah, change the actors PLEASE!

  • 'Do not waste my time with your lies, woman!' XD!! I don't know why, but that makes me laugh so hard. It sounds like something that you would hear around THIS time. OMG, this is pretty cool, though

  • Good. Holy. God.

    That was HORRIBLE.

Just scrap it. Now. And lose your actors. They're...ugh...

  • Ohhhhmygosh.

    Get different actors.

    PLEASE.

  • The idea of make a movie with the same words of the original novel is cool! But they have to change cast!

  • Well, it didn't go with the story line. When she tells Erik to show her his face without fear, it is after she hears duan jaun trumihant and he will not play it for her. As he would say "duan jaun trumaphant burns." That was a horrible knock off to the book and leroux would problably hang himself after watching it.

  • ... K.. Erik with a K...* pokes the other spelling of Erik* the score is beautiful. Who did it?...Other than that, I'm speechless...And not in a very positive way.... Work on your vocal control & emotions and try to draw from the text the core of that character. With so many rabid 'Phans', you must be quite careful how you portray them. Work on it, and then it shall be better. Sorry if I'm being harsh, but someone has to tell you the constructive things you don't want to hear.

  • i love her dress its pretty and i read the novel but this was a little funny lol

  • This is the worse acting I have seen in a long time.

  • Is this before or after these people got acting lessons? They're much too forcefull...it doesn't seem natural and there's not enough deep emotion in their voices. I'm really glad someone wants to make a film totally based on the novel...but maybe a bigger production company should do it. "Erik" needs to be have a more powerfull voice, he's nothing like in the book. Raoul isn't gentle enough adn Christine needs to be more vunerable (and learn how to cry)

  • that was...interesting

  • Is it me or are they bad at acting?

  • yeaherm...the mask...but it looks good!Very excited for it!

  • yea spelled with a K, NOT a C. It's ok but with the mask have it made out of a diffrent material and have the eyehole smaller so you don't see the flesh around the eye. I loved the actor who played Erik.

  • a little cheezy, stick to the book's exact quotation and you'll be fine, i love the book, and i'd love to see a movie that is an exact copy of the book, that would bring me true happiness

  • But why? Don't get me wrong, I adoore the novel, and would love to see a movie close to the book. But I'd much rather see an adaptation. I don't see a reason to stick to the exact quotations. I don't think there's anything truly artfull about it, if it's just a copy of something else. I'd love to see someone bring Leroux to life, and keep the characters as they are in the novel, but instead of simply quoting it, portray Leroux's intention for the book.

  • well, that's just me, i would just love to see the actual book turn to life, the words mean everything to me... i would be crying of joy if someone would make a movie like that

  • I guess that if I want to experience the book, I'll just plop down and read it. :)

  • That's deep...that is really good.

  • Not too bad. I did cringe upon seeing the mask though... I would love to see the actual finished product. One thing though, Raoul's tone of voice in this test run is really kinda same all the way. Overall, love the idea! :)

  • It's Erik.

    With a K.

    Not a C.

You should probably get that right. :]

I'm glad your Christine is blonde.

But this IS just a test run, right? They won't look like this in the actual movie.

    The mask is ridiculous.

  • Omg that was really good!

  • Wow this looks really good i can't wait to see more and i want to the website and if you do sell your rendition i will be the first to buy!! Once again it looks really cool and i can't wait to see more!!
