i dont have a g25 anymore, i upgraded to a fanatec 911. This game doesnt support the h shifter so no, its sequential manual shifting

fanatec 911 porsche turbo wheel. In this video i was using a logitech g25 but it short circuited a little while ago and now i have the fanatec. Which i admit is much better than my old logitech.

jake brake is an exhaust brake. not sure exactly how it runs through the truck, but it helps slow the truck down when going downhill, coming to a light or stop sign, plus you can still use the regular brakes. a parking brake on a semi is the same thing as an e-brake on a car or pickup. jake brake is different. jqake brake also uses the engine to slow the truck down.

thats a good simple way of explaining it. A jake brake (exhaust brake) shuts off the trucks engine cylinders, giving a beautiful sound and slowing the truck at the same time. A rigs parking brake, which tractor trailers have 2, 1 for trailer, and 1 for the truck, are psi controlled (air pressure), if you use your brakes for too long, your psi is gone and then u depend on downshifting and jaking and a prayer you wont die lol

Again, great video. I just want to ask.. On your Jake Brake, how do you keep the truck moving at a decent speed, mine just slows it down, FAST.

lol, thanks for the comments buddy. I have much improved since these vids. I've purchased a new better wheel as my old g25 broke. I have my own custom soundpack and i use my own custom map that is a huge addon to the rnr v4 map. I use a real jake mod i forgot who its by, where you by the best brakes and it doesnt slow u down that much when u jake, and the brakes are pretty realistic. On a real rig you must brake when rolling 80mph approximately 1200 ft. before your desired stop.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to check on getting new brakes. I have a real Jake Brake as well, I believe you have the same one I do. But yeah, I'm gonna have to get some new brakes, I like the game as realistic as I can get it.

(P.S. - Keep bringing on your video's, they're great! Also, you should get the updated "real" blinker sounds.)

The map i play one is only california based. but the map that comes with the game has 48 states. Discludes alaska and hawaii..

its the noise u hear when im going down the hill. what it does in real life is it shuts off engine cylinders in the trucks engine. the reason they put it in is to help rigs slow down. I dont think they ever expected it to become a contest of whos jake can sound the best.
