some units squat down that means they are in stealth mode and no enemy can detect them.(im not sure if they can be undetected 100% of the time and will allways attack without being told to unless fire at will is off.)also only certain units can use stealth mode.stealth mode is also automatic and CANNOT be selected)

- Organ Guns have shit accuracy and reload hours - Deaths Head Hussar dont make real difference in your army they are not as good as a normal Regiment of horse and they are way overpowerd for normal hussars

- USS constitution has like NO guns If im not mistaking a fifth rate has more guns better range better handling - HMS Victory fails against a heavy 1stRate, so why even bother building that piece of shit

@locoyogui u buy the special forces edition and activate the spcial forces units, then some units need a territory, others r reached at certain game eras, eg the HMS victory for the brits can b used in the late game era

@locoyogui uh not completely 100% sure what u wer asking, but to unlock the special units ther is a piece of paper inside ur special forces edition box, and u go into the steam client and select 'activate a product on steam' then follow the wizard and enter in the code on the piece of paper that says special forces units, hope this was what you wer querying, if not, please reply and ill b happy 2 answer anything u need help with to get the special forces units.

I allways use the line formation in naval battle, and before you can build the big one, build 5th and 4 th rate ships, have like 8 to 10 in that fleet, and you will win allmost everything, little later in the game i starts to change the 4th rate to 1th and 2th rate ships, 3th rate are really good to. . But try the line formation and try not to sail against the wind. I think I have a movie that show what I mean

@levani199321 Naval is really hard to do. just mostly try and Get your ships so that they can shoot broadside on the enemy. what i do is i just auto sim the battle since i hate fighting navals

France has the Swiss Guard which is a strong rifleman unit.

British have Horse Guards which are strong heavy cavalry used to break lines.

It matters on which you prefer, I personally would rather have more infantry. But the right cavalry units can save a battle.

Well Swiss guard refers to Swiss soldiers who were mercenaries for France, Spain, and Naples up to the 19th century. They are more popular for guarding Vatican City. And since they're from Switzerland it would be pretty hard and costly for Japan to hire them as mercenaries.

I wish they had Japan in Empire: Total War. That would be sweet, but they didn't start modernizing til well after western civilizations.

They'd still be awesome to play as though.

I don't see the point in them having USS Constitution and HMS Victory, they're just the same as any other ships of their class, just overpowered. If they want a heroic crew, they should have the HMS Mars. Her crew fought on even after their captain's (George Duff) death at the beginning of the battle.

well the same thing can be said about the HMS victory the fought through trafalga (cnt spell) with the knowlege that nelso was diein in the hold and during the battle they where soo close from being borded and there crew was bein torn apart by chain grape and round shot but they held out ans survived

just a tip, the Ottoman organ guns can only fire round shot and are not accurate. at long ranges or from high vantage points they are useless. HOWEVER because they have an amazing amount of firepower and they are using round shot if you put them on level ground with the enemy the balls will bounce, and at medium range that means every cannon ball will hit right through the enemy line. Basically, even ground+medium range+large enemy army=lot of dead enemies
