i would have bmw e96 m3 as a family car. it is a family car coz it is a sedan/saloon (4doors) the coupe wouldn't then be a family car but the m5 would cost around 10k-15k more so depends.

please, if anyone wanted an M badged BMW with 4 doors, they would have the M5, it has more power than he M3 and it has 4 doors anyway, plus i think it looks better, but thats my opinion. BMW shouldn't bother with the 4 door version, just a waste of money, materials and time

No, the M3 has always been a coupe. It was originally introduced as a race car, that had to be produced for the street in order to qualify. I forgot the name of the race circuit, but it has always been a coupe. Now this is a first for it being a sedan. I do agree though, my jetta as well has plenty of room for a sedan. Shit, I moved a 60 inch tv once. Now, imagine the space and the 400hp. Sick, huh?
