People find other jobs other means to change and have a job and have better communities. Yes it hurts but that will not be the end! Tell CNN to learn Say's Law of markets. It is naive mercantilist fear to say that we must not allow the market to make industry bankrupt en masse, for it will hurt 'aggregate demand' and prevent the flow of capital. This is indeed a nonsensical fear because when people do not supply labour and capital for one activity they can be re-employed by another: our production always eschews alternatives which are the necessary ones if we cannot profit through VOLUNTARY contract, not force.

When Peter Schiff says "how many jobs is the gov't going to destroy by keeping [them] in business", he has gone way, way, WAY over their heads. The talking heads can't comprehend unintended consequences. I bet this same group is all for the government mandating that the credit card companies lower their fees -- what they don't know is that lenders won't lend if they're forced to take losses by not being allowed to increase rates.
