robert plant is the best of all time. I seen him in Memphis a couple of years ago. The man still has it. Did't care much for the music he is doing now but just to see him was AWESOME. Would love to see Jimmy again before time runs out. LED ZEPPELIN IS THE BEST.

ive got this whole concert on dvd had to get it from switzerland as its not on sale in the uk but it is epic and 3 hours long sound quality is great u get either stereo or 5.1 sound on the dvd and picture quality is good considering how old it is
@tattoofthesun Same here like the little tick jimmy has in the middle section like he's almost falling down and all the sudden he retakes himself and bam! Makes this song the whole it is!
Favorite Zep tune. but this version kinda sucks. Guitar sounds out of tune, keys come in kinda scetchy. Not very well mixed. The version from Song Remains is a much smother take in my opinion.
@bohs1984 The Song Remains The Same movie was over dubbed in studio for 3 years after the original MSG show, there's almost no real live playing on the movie, thats why it sounds so much better.
@PBANDSNOW On the dvd remastered no, just the sound is better, the original cd is natural, no overdubbing, read the garden tapes even to talk, thanks.
@AZEIDJSKSQMM I have. Do yourself a favour and watch the movie closely. During the last minute of the Rain Song, the intro to Since Ive Been Loving You, etc. Page fingers aren't even on the fret board for parts of it yet you can still hear it.
All members of Zeppelin, Peter Grant, and the movie crew worked on this movie for 3 years to make it what it is, so seriously, go do your homework.
@bohs1984 Dude. There is nothing, at all, out of tune. No offense but you are obviously not a guitar player. What the hell are you even talking about, this is a live recording, are you saying the house mix is not very good? You might very well be slightly out of your mind :)
@bohs1984 Yes this gig was a tragedy - i know because i was there at Knebworth - The last ever gig in England from John Bonham before he died. and Jimmy Page at the time was totally off his face on heroin - absolute tragedy really - check out the London O2 gig - now that is reaaaaalllllly goood
@bohs1984 Everything from Song Remains the Same was heavily overdubbed. that is why is sounds so good. this here is actually probably pretty accurate as to how it was played live.
Ah, don't you love it when a love song that's freaking awesome makes grown men fight about Jimmy and how vulgar each other's comebacks are. Do that some other place, I have a song to listen to...
@angelcakebby24 Not during the 60s (maybe he used to get a little higher sometimes, but just with ligh drugs). He began to have problems with heroin around 1975, and he became drug addicted. After Led Zeppelin, as far as I know, he became also an alcoholist. I have seen several interviews in the period of Walking Into Clarksdale (90s) in which he clearly wasn't ok and he says that he doesn't remember much about the 80s. Right now he's a kind person and definitely in good health.
@brether234 *correction* he's a dignified man that won't sell out to make few bucks and gain ignorant fans that can't even spell his band's name properly.
@brether234 uh, actually, (while jimmy page is not much a fan of music games like guitar hero and rock band), a more significant reason there hasn't been any led zeppelin songs in a music game is that a considerable amount of led zeppelin's master tapes are currently missing or in no condition to be physically tampered with. the master tapes are necessary for guitar hero and rock band, and thus no led zeppelin music games. try a bit more research next time.
@TatsuArekku you obviously have no idea what your talking about. they released an entire game with live recordings they dont NEED the master recordings. and you should do some research on your golden boy jimmy. he numerous sexual relations with 12-14 year old girls. idk what the laws were back then but now addays girls that age don't have consent, making that rape. congratulations your idols a rapist.
you fucking trailer garbarge. go fuck your sister while she's still twelve and doesn't know she's being raped, then you can be just like good ol' jimmy
@brether234 really that's interesting, instead of asking me why i called you a cocksucker u pulled that out, but it seems your used to random tirades, because your subject went from guitar hero to slandering page, go stick your tongue in your mothers asshole and then stick ur cock in her dirty anus and make her lick the shit off your dick, you fucking low life small penis motherfucker, Satan deepthroats your mom in hell.
@fobfan35 i dont give a fuck why you called me it, if your willing to stand and defend a rapist then i already know what kind of person you are. oh and you call what i said a "random tirade", you went off like a middle schooler who heard enough curse words from there hillbilly abusive father to make a dirty sentence. i feel sorry for you
jimmy did drugs in the 60s. thats a fact. to say jimmy page didnt do drugs in the 60s is an insult, jimmy said something like "drugs were a part of the whole thing" talking about zeppelin. plus you think the yardbirds were straight shooters? come on...
@dazerbrah I meant that he just didn't use heavy drugs, because he began to do that in the 70s. Plant said it several times, and Jimmy too. I said "He began to have problems with heroin around 1975, and he became drug addicted" and talking about the 60s "he used to get a little higher sometimes". I didn't say he was perfect, and neither a health fanatic. You can notice a progressive abjection: at the beginning, I don't think he was drug addicted. However, I wasn't there (but you weren't too).
@dazerbrah I'm talking about HEROIN problems. You know, I'm not a drug-expert, I don't have a drug chart, I wasn't there when Jimmy used acid or whatever, and moreover I don't understand why you're so aggressive toward me. We are saying the same thing. Jimmy HAD problems with drugs. That's the main question. @asassinhunter Yeah, they always played the tune in A major live, but the studio version is in G major. I don't play guitar, but I think it has something to do with Jiimmy's setup live versus the studio recording.
@Stoneyridger right, studio tunings is DGCGCD, live it was EADADE, much easier to change from standard, you needed to tune 2 strings differently versus all of them. it also produced a much nicer brighter tone with the electric guitar.
Not a beat missed, on point, professional. Just ripe for disaster with Bonzo's ever more erratic behavior. These guys are amazing. Magic.
